The loss to the victory last season was a horror show. Played them off the park, extra man and just needed to find the net for the winner and couldn't do it.

Once it hit about 75 mins the momentum shifted and I had the vibe we wouldn't be on the right side of this.

It was such a strange season. Sacking Rado, hammering teams all in the same season 8-0 7-1 8-1. But also lost some games big. After winning our last 3, having Arslan on the pitch I really felt we had an outside chance of going on a revenge tour (Victory and then CCM). But it wasn't to be, and out of the fire the Phoenix emerges.

The academy is paying huge dividends with the youngsters having a big impact.

Caputo has 4 goals in a week (3 A league and 1 in Asia), more than he had to date in the senior team.

ACL game was at AAMI, but agreed, great start to his season. They say he will be better than Maclaren, and signs are good for that.
