I think Pav's salary, the increase in the cap and the clearing of some middle ranking dead wood on average salaries will clear space...

Could see us be a bit more speculative next year.

I reckon Zac Clarke will be traded...we'll take a ruck from somewhere...we may even clear the decks severely...

Hope Clarke puts in some decent games and raises his value a bit at least.

Will leave us a bit low in the ruck stocks but I'm sure we'll deal with it.

Please, Giles is hardly wafl standard, Currie is over 25 hardly played an afl game, smith looks like he could be good and is 25, Sinclare is more forward than ruck and is rucking behind Tippet. Better keep Clarke and hope Appness comes good.

I hope our club is at least sending a rep to the American combine. Some crazy athletic guys over there. 7ft tall, fit and fast.

We can pick them up as a Cat B rookie and put them on the back burner. Not taking up a spot on the list and not costing too much money. Holmes and Cox already starting to show something.

GilG hoping you can hide the best so only Freo meet them.

I think he would be cheap. He's not playing afl and kicking goals. He is desperate to head home give him a few hundred thousand a year and front liad a few contacts to get hooker and hogan in.

Cunguu about an hour or so out of Legian in Bali. Great waves

Its a 5 night monday to sat morning stay. If im lucky I wont miss a Freo final match unless they play on a Friday night.

More forward than Ruck is exactly what we need. Because all our current ruckmen are more ruck than forward.

Back in 07 we played our oldest side ever and by far the oldest side in the completion for that year. We were also paying 100% of the salary cap. We got smacked. That was the beginning of our realisation that we needed to rebuild, which was tough after being 4 goals from a grand final the year before. We loaded up in 07 with experience and it failed. Bond was part of the rebuild so I'd hope he'd be in Lyon's ear.

Not saying the circumstances are exactly the same but it is concerning that the side we put out does not appear to have any transition in it at all. We are again the oldest (most experienced) side in the comp (maybe 2nd oldest) and the danger is that we will fall in a heap if we put too many kids in at once. There has been no baton passing, or not as much as would be ideal.

More just concerns than anything, I'm sure there a plan in place.

The difference in 07 was that we had little depth ,the kids were also crap. The kids at Peel now are in the main excellent and learning the ropes. The mids are covered for years and Uber, Pearce and Collins are promising talls. If we manage to snaffle Hooker and McCarthy we are set up for talls. We only need a ruck man . The core best players in the side are 25 and under. We are in good shape .The youngsters will be introduced gradually .

Anyone else get frustrated at the "Unselfishness" of our forwards. Have the damn shot unless there is a glaring option sitting undefended in the square. These little handoffs or chip kicks give me the absolute S%ts!

Think that is one of the major flaws in our style of play. Too worried about looking for better options instead of taking the game on and attacking (goals or field play).

Many, many great islands near by. I was contemplating Lombok. I've stayed a week on a nearby Island called Nusa Lembongan the break Lacerations is epic!!!!
Got a local to take me out on his raft for a few hours. Lovely island too.
