You think the club paid for those tickets?
Yes and i would say they are playing well enough to really put us to the sword in that game on our present form . Our form away has been so poor that it is my turn to do the review that week , And at this stage i am thinking Carlton will get us our injury list is not improving either which does not help.I'm nervous about our away game against Carlton. It's our only realistic winnable game away from home. If we lose, we could actually go winless on the road for the whole season.
Businessmen (Rosich) and veterans (Lyon,Mundy,Sandi, Pav etc) who have flown hundreds of times (frequent flyers) nearly always fly business class. I used to find this weird that the team is split up however, if you have the option, you’d be silly not to take it.Bit of a melt on behalf of my mum.My mum & sister went to the game yesterday, hopped on the plane to fly home and couldn't believe that Banfield & Tucker were next to them in economy class when Rosich's three daughters are in business class. She said,"surely the players deserve the extra comforts of business class"....

Im not even sure we will beat them, is it at home or away ?I said after the saints game we wouldn’t win one till the Lions. I was grilled for that comment, but I’m looking on the money. We should of cleared the oldies after the saints game.
I've said it numerous times. Got howled down by most here.Who said this, can find me a link and not the main board of BF thanks.
Apart from your last paragraph I totally concur.I am not pro Ross, I am fairly fed up with him. However I think this criticism is rather unfair, or misguided. We drafted poorly and/or unluckily through those years and I don’t think getting a few more games into youngsters would make much difference now.
I think the biggest problem through those years was holding the list too static. We hung on to a lot of players who could not get on the park or who were aging and not best 22. We offered long contracts to ordinary players, and when time came for change, we could not. We had a number of players who were marginal best 22 such as Suban, de Boer, Clancee and maybe Barlow (who is a cut above but badly misused by Ross IMHO), who were similar types and had some trade value and we could have pushed up the draft order a bit. A little more list turnover and some decent effort at trading and maybe we could be a couple of 22-24 yo’s better off now. This is a club problem rather than a Ross problem, although he certainly has to have some responsibility.
The other criticism of Ross that I think is fair, is holding the game plan too static. He certainly needs to take responsibility for that.
Find player? Ryan was under our nose for a few years, Rioli they took a punt on a fat kid (with skill) and Waterman is a FS. We could of had a Ryan, Kelly or Menengola running around but stuck with crabs like Suban instead
Lol, are you seriously trying to make a point out of people paying their own business class?Bit of a melt on behalf of my mum.My mum & sister went to the game yesterday, hopped on the plane to fly home and couldn't believe that Banfield & Tucker were next to them in economy class when Rosich's three daughters are in business class. She said,"surely the players deserve the extra comforts of business class"....

Dal Santo despite being a fan of Lyon remarked that, if you weren't in the main group, the gate was effectively shut on anybody else breaking into the team. That might get you a short term shot at a flag but afterwards it results in years in the footballing wilderness. For every top drawer player who gets too old you need multiple youngsters tried out to replace them. For every year the gate is shut it takes 2 to three years to recover. If its done for 3 years then you are looking at 6 to 9 years!
Cockburn Central Headquarters thread shut down?
We were minutes away from solving our issues.![]()
That's pretty good. Our issues or your issues or do you need a box of tissues?

In all seriousness though, I can’t see anyone trading a 1st rounder this year unless it’s a huge carrot.
Have you run out of ideas?
