The first post win melt. I got very clearly that you were very serious with your melt about me melting about your melt.

It’s molten clear mate. :thumbsu:
Why would I be joking though? It was a piss poor 2nd half, no matter the reasons why.

Nah not very serious at all bud, it's pretty standard fare, it's all the rage to wind up the melters. Just find it all a little repetitive, ho hum and obnoxious really.

But fair bump play on, it's just an internet forum at the end of the day. :)

I think the tribunal is all over the place, but they let someone off a while ago for demonstrating the free kick they were disputing while touching an umpire, so they have been consistent in letting this off as well.

Dusty isn't in anything resembling his Brownlow form. Don't think he'll get anywhere near it unless he turns it on for the last 9 rounds.

Too many of their other players playing well also.
I agree, but umpire bias is pretty bad when it comes to the brownlow - wouldn't be surprised if he has a few 1s for these average games

I agree there is some inconsistency. I don't mind Fyfe going he elbowed a guy in the head, but Titch should have also gone. I haven't watched Dusty's incident and probably won't but assume it is like May's.

I go to training they practice set shots under fatigue

They also practice set plays from clearances to convert goals regularly
So why do competent players withing range keep missing? It's not just fatigue.

I watch at least two training's and two games live each week. Sometimes more with the State 16s practice game at Subi last Friday night. I'm not saying they don't practice goal kicking. There is nothing I've seen with full team training that duplicates the perceived pressure (and physiological condition) for players taking set shots. I'm talking about all players involved to duplicate psychological pressure on the kickers as well. Successfully used at Australian level team sport and not after training.

I'm happy to be proved wrong and have asked you to describe the drills that they do for the set shots.

I don't know if this should be in the melt and started after comments last week by Cox and Matera in particular about their goal kicking training.

Because players are human and can miss for a variety of reasons? Training and battle are two completely different things.

Haven't you heard of the saying "everyone has a plan until they're punched in the face"?

Sounds like me on Sat at my footy game. I chose to walk away and be the bigger man

To be honest I don't have the answer but all teams have players who miss easy set shots. We as Freo fans focus and remember our players more than others.

Don't think that applies for set shots. I'll give better than anchorman odds that no teams replicates the perceived pressure full team involvement in training and no amount of "thinking about the shot" or whatever is the current advice from some clubs is superior.

Yeah the rising star nom is a load of horseshit. Not only was Andy better in almost every category, if it was close, there's the consistency factor where AB has played every game this year. ****ing bullshit and given to a shit club as an encouragement award

Was that english because I can't decipher what you're talking about. Did you just agree with me?

Look like a Freo youngster needs to be BOG before he get even a look in for the rising star huh?

Stopped caring about the award tbh. Carlton got a crapload of nominations last year and see where they are now?

Wherever they are, they have the recognition of receiving a nomination, as well as being financially better off if there are bonuses in their contracts for being nominated. Yet another steaming pile of inconsistent manure from a myopic self-serving hastily-coupled farce.

Here is your quote I was replying to... Because players are human and can miss for a variety of reasons? Training and battle are two completely different things. Haven't you heard of the saying "everyone has a plan until they're punched in the face"?... so very possibly I couldn't decipher what you were talking about.
Point is players are human (IN CASE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS IS THE ONLY THING I AGREE WITH YOU ON). That's why you if you duplicate game pressure or perceived game pressure for set shots as closely as possible, you will get players making those shots they unexplainably miss in game. If you can't understand that or the drills to replicate this, your loss.

Anchorman odds? Get with it. There is a image on the thread.

The point is, guy, you can't accurately replicate game day pressure in training simply due to the fact that it's training and not a game day and therefore doesn't have nearly the same amount of pressure nor could it ever.

You 'get with it'.

Paddy Dow get a nom with his first 20possie game.

Some pleb said it is good for footy if collingwood and richmond are flying. God damn viccos.
