2011-13 we adapted, changed and were cut-throat AF. Sacked our coach, got - at the time - one of the best in the business. Established a workman like ethos for the team, where no one player was bigger than the team and everyone worked for the greater good both on and off the field.

Now we have lost that edge - the team doesn't seem to come first anymore. The development of the players has taken priority - which is fine. I just don't want the club to lose that ethos we had - where everyone worked for one another to get a result.

And that doesn't mean we have to go back to our dour, defensive game-plan. You can go all out attack with everyone working for one another.

Our acceptance of mediocrity seems to be directly related to the coach's expanding waistline. They have both increased dramatically over the same period.

Sorry, has everybody forgotten the recent wooden spoon finish west coast had in their millennium? And how long they held on to worsfold despite mediocre results? Their recent results have been great and they’re certainly way more successful than we are, but the short memories and self-flaggelation in here is amazing.

Because a. Worsfold was a favourite son (they named their club champ after him) and b. he'd won a premiership.

Had Worsfold not made the finals in 2011 he would have been punted.
