Someone posted last week about the left and right side of the brain theory breaking up being instinctual (attacking) and methodical (defensive). Thought it was pretty evident today that everyone's minds were ticking over resulting in poor unnatural skills

Its all about mind set. Very poor. Just shows how important Sandi and Johnno are for leadership. Also, how hard it is when you dont drop down to recuit top end talent. Would love to know how many top 10 picks the dogs had playing today, as opposed to us.

Griffin was mediocre but Clarke just seems to look disinterested. Where has his 2013 form gone??
Matt Taberner is way off being AFL standard, if he shows no improvement this season it might be time to trade/delist.

Also the commentry was sub standard.

Would be pretty silly to delist a player who we have no replacement for.

In case you haven't noticed, Taberner is getting games because we have literally no other tall forwards. And next year we're going to have 1 less because Pavlich will retire.

Out: Griffen, Clarke, Mzungu, Pav(sus), Suban ( if Bennell is fit )

In: Sandi, Johnson, Silvagni, A Pearce

A Pearce can give Sandi a chop out in the ruck

In all fairness to him it wasn't the game where a key forward could be expected to perform at their maximum. But yeah, some of his efforts in the first quarter were pretty lamentable. If he can't take the mark then at least cause some pain, that's what Stringer did.

This is one of my main issues with Taberner, any forward looks good when they get good delivery but as soon as the ball goes to ground he doesnt seem to have an impact, his tackling is poor and he cant seem to win the contested ball. In comparison Stringer can do all of these things and they are at similar stages of their career.

I still think we should persist, I'm not trying to be a hater but he needs to improve this year.

I am well aware of our KPF situation, thank you.

So why delist our only experienced key forward? Silly thing to say.

Also pretty silly to compare Taberner to Stringer. Everyone is well aware Stringer is better than him, duh.

Tabs might have looked better if he only had to play on a Sutcliffe/Sheridan type. Great coaching that

Sandi, A Pearce, Bennell (ASAP), MJ, Morabito (ASAP), Langdon, Blakely and I reckon even Tucker.

Big call but I think Pav has to go to CHB or retire.

Out Clarke, Barlow, Mzungu, C Pearce, Mayne, Suban for a start.

We are in for some pain, now we'll see what Ross can do when he has to rebuild on the fly. If he sticks with the tried and true then its insane.

Yeah I wouldn't judge the forwards too harshly on that game. There was virtually no quality ball coming in.

This is down to poor coaching. All the players haven't suddenly turned to shit. We weren't mentally prepared and Lyons tactics are tired and redundant.

Yep, except our player are a bit shit though. Lyon is happy to be completely predictable eash week but when the "cogs in the machine" approach breaks down, we cant go man on man to try and turn a game because our players just aren't that exciting. Fyfe and perhaps Mundy on occasion the only gamechangers we have left.

Put simply, the Bulldogs have improved from last year. We haven't.

We had one new face out there so I'm not sure where we thought our improvement would come from?

Having players like Sutcliffe and Clarke who haven't elevated their game their entire career yet still get gifted games doesn't help either.

Our "experienced" personal (Suban, Barlow, C.Pearce and Mzungu) have been on the decline the last couple of years also.

HOW did fyfe get injured? Am I a paranoid conspiracy theorist.? Or does fyfe get sniped out of our games and gets no protection from the umpires? Is there any footage from all the games he gets corked or taken out of games?

The Melt (same old same old) vs the Climb ( change game style , risk drop out of 8, get some early pick to trade player we wanted. Let gu, c.Pearce and co continue their development with peel.
