We've had many players who haven't been injured on that ground but over the years we have had an inordinate number who have.
I have heard the surface is very hard. It looks lush but that can be deceiving.

Yes they do.
The groundskeeper at Freo who also has responsibility for mowing the Cockburn ground, told some watchers that the surface is now fully covered and ready to go.

That's great news but they need all the facilities I would think to train there.

Well this beholder is not seeing what the MC is that's for sure... If they wanted to bring in a b-grade hack to the 22 this week, I would have thought both MdB and Clancee would have been ahead of him, but RTB makes the call, not me...

There is nothing wrong with the oval its probably the gym work on their legs thats doing it. If Freo oval is the cause as you say then South Freo would be having the same issues and there is no publicity out there that supports your spurious claim that i know of.
FYI Yarran hurt his calf during the last half of the Peel game last weekend
Mora's past knee injuries i understand were not related to problems with the surface of the oval. salim malik

There's just so many of them. I'm fairly sure all Mora's injuries have been incurred at that oval and at training sessions.
Also, I vaguely recall P Bell saying the surface was very hard at Sth Freo.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge since Belly last played. He played when they had muddy grounds in Victoria before coming back here so something slightly different would have been suggested as being hard.Talk to Richard the young groundsman as to its hardness but if it was too hard then Weber would be approaching the Contractors (Programmed) and ground staff to get it fixed you would think. Have a walk over the ground if you are that concerned about it and have a look yourself.
