I just went all tingly...
First time posting since last Sundays cluster****. Self imposed melt.
Thought Ross summed the whole thing up well saying the boys wanted a Sunday stroll.
The lack of pressure was like looking back to yesteryear Dockers. Not fun.
).The only upside of Sunday was definitely my remote control's power button. Unfortunately don't have one of those when sitting in a stadium, so they had better improve this weekend.I only got to see about 7 mins of the 3rd qtr and it looked like a car crash.
I was so glad I was out and about that day (truth be told I was very stroppy about it before the game though).
Look at the bright side though if we don't improve and are sitting 2 - 6 we will hopefully see the kids played more. The only upside of Sunday was definitely my remote control's power button. Unfortunately don't have one of those when sitting in a stadium, so they had better improve this weekend.
Yes I agree. Not worried. It's only been one game so far. Hawks and WC didn't exactly fly out of the blocks last year and ended up in the GF. But even if we do slide we have enough young talent for an effective mini re-build. Although I still don't see a reason why we can't finish top 4 if our midfield gets fired up again before mid year and if we peak at the right time of year. If so, we could possibly have more chance of reaching the GF than last year (eg if we almost exactly reversed our performance in the regular season from last year -> killed it in the last 9 rounds or so).Look at the bright side though if we don't improve and are sitting 2 - 6 we will hopefully see the kids played more.
I for one want to see more of Tucker. He looks like something special that one.
Hopefully Apeness comes back from injury and we see him at some stage.
My main man Mora to play seniors at some stage this season as well.
Get some decent draft picks and trade them for Hogan and McCarthy. Bring Hooker via free agency and have a red hot crack next season.
I for one hope that last week was an anomaly and we come out and belt a few sides but there is hope for next season as well. It's not all doom and gloom

Yeah you hit the nail on the head. We peaked so early last year and ran outta gas. I'm hopeful that we have a slower build up towards our best with Bennell, Mora, Tucker, Apeness, and Yarran to come in at various times and really add something or play so well that they keep out the incumbents.Yes I agree. Yeah I haven't seen it and by the sounds of it I don't want to.My children shouldn't have to hear the language that a game like that inspires.
To me the same old problem reared it's ugly head straight up. Goal kicking. That and the lack of pressure.
Fair enough Freo got jumped early but Pav and Ballantyne needed to kick truely when those early opportunities came around. You never know the flow on effect from that. The goal they disallowed was very line-ball especially when the goal umpire called it a goal. That was shite.
My buddy Balla really REALLY needs to shine this week and get some form. If he doesnt rip the guts out of GCS and WCE in the next fortnight then its back to PEEL IMHO.

What the heck has happened to Ballas? I remember when he was such a defensive threat in the forward 50 and would be taking guys down with exciting tackles. I cannot remember the last time I saw that.
I suppose our forward 50 in general is really easy to waltz the ball out of these days as a whole.

We'd be more of a chance of kicking 120 behinds.I have a feeling we are going to go close to kicking twenty goals this week.
.HehheheStrange breed footy fans. We have posters on here complaining that not selecting Tabs and playing 3 tall forwards will cost us the game and then you go over to the Richmond board and they have posters complaining that going with the three talls cost them the game . Go figure..
