At this stage I would've rathered the club drafted M McGovern last year at 34 instead of Blakely. He only went a few picks later at 41 anyway.

Channel 7 did a story on the McGovern brothers and their father a couple of days ago. Showing highlights of their old man playing for us back in the day, They even showed photos of the two brothers as kids in full Freo gear cheering for us. It breaks my heart knowing that we could've had both. Andrew still supports Freo.

It's more betterer to handball it around to 4 or 5 players in a 2m radius and find a free player rather than kick it long to an opponent zoning off. [emoji23] [emoji23]

What scares me is I can't even vent at one specific player, ALL our guys are guilty of doing that right now. Even our traditionally good decision makers like Sonny/Hill/Neale/MJ etc have NFI right now and are playing like frightened deer. I hate the bastard but there's one Dwayne Russell catchphrase that is actually super applicable for us right now and that's "makes is someone else's problem." There's playing fast tempo, risky, corridor footy and then there's hastily disposing of the footy like a live hand grenade. Yeah they're adjusting to a different method of playing, I understand that. They're just really ****ing slow at adapting.

Yep. You can only imagine what he would be saying behind closed doors. I'm not sure who he was exactly referring to with regards to distribution from defensive 50, but you would definitely lock in Crozier for a game next week.

As the public face of the club they'll take the brunt of the wrath but I agree. What we've been thinking since 2013 has finally come and bitten us on the bum- hard work and regimental discipline alone aren't enough when faced with teams who have those same qualities and also the skill to back it up, and Lyon and the other coaches have effectively wasted two and now likely three seasons in reaching that conclusion. But I'm not going to be too vocal about it because everyone is a hero in hindsight and because we finished 1st last year despite having the same shortcomings.

What really shits me is that we got next to nothing out of the usual suspects last year either. If we had played the kids instead of them, we still would have finished on top and would be in a much better position now with a bunch of young players with 10-15 games under their belt.

This guy has had a fair opportunity to shape our list and it's fair to say he hasn't delivered. We have the oldest and most unbalanced list in the comp.

We somehow only have one decent young tall prospect on our list in Alex Pearce. Pathetic list management. While I'm hopeful Apeman can become a player it's a 50/50 chance at best. We have had so many opportunities to draft young talls while he has been in charge and we have passed over them time after time. Just cannot identify tall talent.

The whole setup at the club is so cosy with no-one really being accountable and it's not good enough. Working for a football club isn't a job for life. This guy has had his chance and has failed. Time to bring some fresh thinking in.

One of the other things that has really irked me and showed how bad our list management is, is the fact that we traded this years second round pick for pick 34 in last years trade period. Now, after three straight losses to start the season, there is a good chance that our second round pick could be in the early twenties. It could make it a lot harder to get McCarthy if our first round pick is between 5-9 and our next pick is between 41-47. What the hell were they thinking?

And we used Pick 34 on Harley Balic, who's wrist is so stuffed he may never actually play a game. We rock at this.
