TABERNER KICKS THE SAME NUMBER OF GOALS IN THE WAFL AS OUR ENTIRE TEAM AND HE STILL CANT GET A GAME.

I know Taberner is inconsistent, but if we honestly expect any decent structure to work in our forwardline we need someone capable of marking the ball when we eventually resort to bombing into the 50. McCarthy and Kersten, simply don't work. If, when kicking into the 50, they were to lower their eyes then it might not be as bad. But I honestly can not go into the game with any confidence when our forwardline is like this.

You have a small forward in Ballantyne who hasn't done anything in last 2 weeks, can't hold his feet, yet is ready to pop! You have an 191cm lead up forward in Kersten, who hides out the back of packs and has the impact of a wet tissue, yet he's building nicely.

Then you have a Taberner who kicks 11 straight and is arguably in Peel's best the last 2 weeks, yet has somehow got a lot of work to do and the coach is seeing something the rest of us mere non-knowledgeable footy followers aren't seeing which can't lead to his inclusion.

Not really arguable either. He was named best for Peel and named player of the round by the WAFL. The week before was 2nd bog for Peel after Collins.

Both Taberner and Collins have done more than enough to earn their spot in the side but have been repeatedly snubbed for reasons known only to Ross.

Lyon has a history of not playing guys he doesn't like.

Ask Luke Ball about that one. Funny things is, Luke Ball has more premiership medals than Lyon.

You could ask Menegola or Barlow or De Boer as well. There is every chance either Menegola or De Boer might pick up a premiership medal over the next season or two as well.

Or, alternatively, we could be tanking. If so, thats a very poor step to take when developing a winning attitude among young players.

Tanking or not, we should at least be practicing the forward structure we plan on having when Ross Lyon finds a tall he does like.

This is just poor development, going in with a mosquito fleet in the forward line.

The truth is Ross Lyon has no idea how to construct a forward line and we will be shit at scoring for as long as he coaches Fremantle.

He's a 23 year old 200cm forward who deserves as much development opportunity as about 8 guys currently playing.

His whole integrity of selection rubbish goes out the window when Taberner and Collins do what they do week in week out and someone like Suban is an emergency for weeks, does little at WAFL level, gets a call up, Spuds it up, yet remains in the side.

Maybe we're targetting Sam Hayes and there's just no room for Taberner, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a game and that ultimately is what annoys me.

That's the most annoying thing of all for me. We've got 23 year old key forward and a 22 year old key defender being kept out of the side by the likes of Ballantyne and Johnson, neither of which are very likely to be here next year, and definitely will both be gone by the end of 2018.

Being WAFL player of the week means stuff all to the MC if the player doesn't follow team instructions. Tabs was crap in the first half , Haydn wasn't impressed and he reports on a players progress to the MC. We have know idea what KPI's players have to reach . Tabs by his comments this week seems to know what he has to do to get a recall .
