I'm not kidding though. In the last 3 or 4 years we've cut 3 players from the senior list (Yarran, Sylvia, Simpson) for off-field behavioural issues. We've also had Harley Bennell's continuing saga, Michael Johnson's kebab shop scuffle, and now a member of our leadership group penalised for drinking while recovering from injury. That's a lot for a single club.

Even the first bit of his speech was like he was reading it word for word as if some one else had wrote it for him.
Then when the questions came out he resorted to the usual rhetoric.

Are you sure you sure you are not an Eagles supporter ?They and you don't seem to understand they cannot comment on the incident and for that reason can't take ownership.My take is this if the club thought that Lyon was a predatory letch they would not stand by him , If on the other hand they thought the complaint was an opportunistic money grab they would .

Its unfathomable isnt it?,the above poster like so many in the media just dont/cant want to believe that it is a PRIVATE matter(agreeed by all parties).
They've got this idea burnt into their heads that the "truth" must /have /should be revealed no matter what ,like its sacrosanct.
Its not,not in this case and in many others.
Theyre kept private and out of the publics eye to protect certain parties and interests.

The issue, if you can call it an issue, is that the thread is only really relevant when emotions run particularly high, precipitating melts. So about twice a week (gameday and selection) it gets used as intended with a cooling-off period in between. Usually.

I gotta say though, I don't understand why people engage with meltees to try and persuade or ridicule them. This is a thread to dump all your irrational and emotional grievances in - trying to convince someone of an alternate perspective here is pointless. If you want informed discussion you're better off elsewhere. Don't shit on the people who need to vent, especially when it means there's going to be less of it on other threads. We don't like people making fun of posters in the positivity thread, I think it's only fair that the same idea is applied here.
