Pearce and Johnno aren't playing regularly but never let the facts get in the way of a good story. Sandy and Mundy deserve their spot. Balla's maybe is a stretch but there isn't any one knocking down the door at Peel for his spot.You forget to mention the 5 rookie debutants so far , the 2 inclusions from other clubs and the rest of the side with less than 50 games all playing this year. Giro, North and Strad will debut in the next couple of weeks. To me 8 or 9 rookies debuting in a season is pretty close to a rebuild. What do think ?
PS North who are supposedly in a rebuild had nil first year players in on Sunday.

I quite often get confused reading your posts Salim and then I remember whom I have on ignore and it makes sense. To the point where I reckon I could guess the post you are responding to.
My advice is put them on ignore. It is nicer here when you do. Failing that, keep up the good fight.

Hard to tell yet what will happen.
We were tracking ok with Taberner in the side.
It's an informative and worthwhile forum when you only read posts from the 7 decent contributors we have.
By the time Tabs is fit & healthy and slotted back into the side, the wheels will have completely fallen off the clubs performances and he'll be back to getting crucified (rightly or wrongly) for not straightening us up and generally mirroring the performance of the rest of the team.

Hard to disagree with you if you don't think we should be better next year/flag chances 2020. Otherwise I agree we'll steadily get rid of the oldies over 1-2 years and bring in yet more youth and end up fine in the end. Shame Fyfe/Walters will be 30/31 by the time we've got there on our current trajectory under Ross though.
Will always wonder what another coach might been able to do with a peak Fyfe + the pretty decent core (besides the forward line) we've got.

The joke is though at my age I have limited time and should want it now and the young have the time to wait.

We are definitely in a full rebuild mode and these are very hard timelines to predict or if they will be successful.
Done correctly and you can end up like the hawks from 2008-2015 or Richmond in 2017. However you have to remember the hawks started that rebuild in 2001 with Hodge & Mitchell. Richmond’s rebuild was built off Riewoldt 2006, Cotchin & Rance 2007 and Dusty 2009 so it takes about 10 years to see full rebuilds come good.
Carlton (00’s, current), GC/Bris/St Kilda (current), Melbourne (00’s) all tried full rebuilds and got it wrong.
We are definitely in that mound of complete rebuild so I think if we get it right the earliest we’ll be a threat again is around 2022. I have a lot of question marks over a number of players on our list so not yet convinced we have got it right.

let other clubs take the punt on them. our record with selecting coaches is not great. We should simply do what we did with Lyon - identify a good coach and poach him. We are in the top 4-5 clubs for profit and revenue so any club below us is a target.
How many times have we done this tet a tet and you still for some reason don't get that my problem isn't with Lyon's or the clubs efforts during the ' re-build ' he's actually done better than I thought he would at it but he drove us off a cliff like a blind man and now we just handed him the key to the new bus which is going to end up in exactly the same place as before in MY opinion we should have cut our losses when we had the chance but whatever hope I'm wrong , not that you troopers could believe a bloke can have negative thoughts about the club but still want the best for it
Maybe ignore is the best option if you can't get past that FFS

Glad you have opinion but like every one else on here its just an opinion. Usually the wise thing to do is wait for the outcome though.
And please if you can't get past the fact that the rebuild MIGHT be working maybe ignore is your best option FFS.
