Confirmation bias? Hardly. More like simply confirmation as each year passes by.

I watch a lot of football, not just Freo. Yes, other teams have big injury lists as well. Doesn't mean we should excuse our own very poor record.

And it very much is bollocks what Lyon said. Until the blowtorch is applied to the relevant people and someone accepts responsibility, then nothing will improve.
How does your average BF pundit apply the blowtorch?

I thought it was the microwave! Or is that only for really serious melting?

Yes, you are both right.

1. Place Membership card in microwave,
2. Set microwave to 3 hours,
3. Ignite blowtorch,
4. Burn microwave to a crisp!

We need absolute proof so record it all!

While we talk about our fitness staff was it 3 weeks ago that Ross commented on Blakely playing through a knee injury" and it was no big deal - 3 weeks later he is out for the season with a knee injury.

Do we simply take risks and then congratulate ourselves on how great the conditioning staff are

If you're referring to the ligament friction thing Fyfe had that they said Blakely has had for a year, it's completely unrelated to the damage he did to the meniscus

This is how psychics and fortune tellers make their money

It's easy to associate anything if you want to believe it, the hard ground at optus/freo oval for example

Please!

1) Place 1/2 bowl of water in the freezer
2) Once frozen, place membership card and small metal teaspoon in bowl
3) Cover remaining 1/2 of bowl with water and freeze
4) Once frozen, remove from freezer
5) Turn gas on stove on but don't ignite
6) Place bowl in microwave and put on 3 hour timer
7) Throw a brick at the microwave when it starts to spark
8) Chanel your inner Ed Langdon and run like hell

It was Lyon saying it and also reporting Fyfe having the same after the loss to Sydney.

“It’s just a ligament that can move around a little bit and click and it worries him a little bit.

“It happened Thursday, I don’t know where, and then he was OK.

“Then just in the warm-up, the doc has come in, I think it was on tape on vision, he felt (it) a little bit.

“But I thought he played very well, Nathan, it didn’t restrict him and Connor Blakely has had the same thing for a year.

You don't know its unrelated or a precursor to other injuries with restrictions or sudden changes in movement as both had major injuries after.

Fyfe's hammy is looking knotty in the image anyway and questions should be asked in my opinion.

You're jumping at shadows

You wouldn't be able to field 22 with that sort of conservativeness

Lyon in his presser:

“So it’s not ideal but soft tissue injuries happen, our sports science team have been very good for a long period of time and these things happen. Some things are out of your control.“

What a complete load of horseshit.

Unless we completely gut the fitness staff, this club is guaranteed to go nowhere. And it is very alarming if the powers that be can’t see the undeniable evidence staring them in the face for years.

3.1) While waiting for the water to freeze, pick up 2x 50kg bags of ammonium nitrate fertiliser and 10L of diesel
3.2) Mix the two ingredients together until well combined
3.3) Pack the mix tightly into your oven, as if you were stuffing your favourite roast chicken and shut the door

8 - revised) Don't bother running

“Well, dude,” said Khalil, “sometimes you just have to get over shit.”

now that am over that stupid loss to Brisbane , am wondering if we are starring down the barrel of no wins for the rest of the season?
call me a pessimist, but the only win i can see is against Carlton [maybe , we have seen what happened against Brisbane :-( ]
if that is to occur , this season would have to be considered a failure, and please don't give me this S..T about blooding young kids , because I don't Think they will hang around for long if this so called rebuild keeps going this way.

Mate, we have a melt thread for posts like this.

I wouldn't post this ordinarily in the melt thread, it's for melting not discussion. But this response was to the OP in a completely different thread that got merged here - I couldn't post it because it got merged while I was typing.

Hang a man for the horse he has stolen, not one he hasn't. We haven't lost a single one of these games that we haven't played, it's not worth slashing your wrists over them yet. Besides, the team might surprise you in some of these games and get some wins.

fwiw we are kicking a mighty one point more per game (or sumtin like that) more than last year. But we are conceding 87 instead of 98. As much as people wail and moan about too much importance being given to defence instead of offence, bringing down the points against is important and 11 points a game is significant - there is only one team conceding more than 80 points a game that is in the top 8. That is improvement on last year and one of several stepping stones we need to cross on our journey back to the top 8.

Yeah but the late season pantsings last year would have impacted that defensive record so what was it you were saying about horses ?

Same holds true, we haven't had all those pantsings at the end of this year yet, so too early to be hanging as it hasn't happened yet.

And also too early to be talking of defensive improvements from last year , if you were comparing figures at rd 16 or whatever it is that's fine but it's as likely as not we have a few more tough days on the horizon

Well last year we lost to Brisbane by 57 points and this year only 55 points so maybe we are getting better!

But when you factor in the 1 point advantage you get for home games it would be 56 points and that tells us we are still the same piss poor team as last year!

I really like dribbling shit for the sake of it too!!!
