There is no justifying losing a game like that. There is no story that cuts it.
I agree with the calls above re getting club hierarchy out in front of the media. We deserve to hear from the senior leaders after such an insipid performance.
I don’t think it matters if you are a thrower or a chigger anymore. Lyons days are numbered regardless.

Yep with the new stadium nowhere near full you can just buy a restricted viewing ticket on game day for $25 then go sit in one of the 25000 unoccupied good seats. Saves a fortune on a membership and you lose nothing in the way of view of the game.
Yep, horrible if true, especially when some of us still remember the first 10-15 years of our club's existence.

It will cost a million a year for next two years to pay Ross out. That's about 2,000 members not renewing for those two years. Which is going to cost more? I'm starting to think loss of members.

Ross needs to go. I don't wanna just ride the wave since we just lost by over 100 points, but let's keep it real. We lost by over 100 points. We didn't score since the first quarter. In fact we hardly ever score, we're always a low scoring team. We have some terrible players playing (Ballantyne, Grey) who don't do anything. Good training facilities don't mean anything when we play Ross' Game Plan, which really doesn't belong in the current AFL landscape.
I don't see ANY reason to not get a new coach at this point.

1. Players confidence are destroyed
2. Members don't renew
3. Sponsorship is reduced
4. Potential recruits won't come
5. Cerra is good as gone
It took years for Melbourne to recover from a loss like this. Maybe, they still haven't.

I have always been a guy that thought he deserves a chance for what he has done for the club and the bye '19 next year was the time to make the decision.
But I think the board needs to think closely about this. I think hes just about done. Pies next week could be it. This is not just coach killing game it almost a board killing game to not respond or else they personally look poor.
I think we need at the very least to get a senior assistant over from the East with a stand-in promised if he slips further. The board needs to look like they are seriously responding to this.
