I've never as little f*cks about a season like this one coming up.

It's "I've never given as little f*cks about a season..."

See what happens. Surely somewhere through the season some players will be fit to play. What are the odds? Are things more likely to get better or not? I'm clinging to a chord of hope that they do, but just when you think it can't get any worse then it does. These are taxing times.

I'm hoping what you've got isn't systemic, but there is a lot of jadedness about, unless you'e a west coast fan. Bring back the green. Bring back Barlow.

Thanks for the correction. I didn't think I had that line right.

Interesting caller on 6PR that said Bell didn’t want Hogan last trade period *cough* mentioned due dilligence *cough* and it was list manager Rosich that overruled him and made the decision to bring him in.

Considering our injury list at the moment, he is really letting the club down, i am not buying the anxiety bulls**t, bad choices are bad choices and he is old enouth to know the consequence of such actions, start of the year looks very bleak. YOU WERE THE SUPOSED TO BE THE CHOSEN ONE!!! to bring balance back to our footy club! You were supposed to combat our mediocrity not be a part of it.

Like I said in an earlier post, Rosich made an economic decision to get more bums on seats at all costs

Same caller also said that Hardie's story about a carpark fight on Saturday in Mandurah involving Jesse ending up with injured ribs, with another Fremantle player being present, all caught on CCTV was false.

I’m tend to agree with the caller. If it was on CCTV the vision would’ve been released yesterday.

Sydney should of never recruited Franklin

Yeah ok
How is Buddy even remotely comparable to Hogan? Buddy was a 2 time premiership player, coleman medallist (100 goals ffs) and obviously had his **** together enough to play ~20 games each of his years at the Hawks (and kick 500 goals or whatever it was) AND as far as I know never did a navicular.

Compare Hogan who kicked 40 goals a couple of times (with a really high flat track rating in that) and a navicular.

Even if Franklin plays up off field, he is easily worth the risk. Hogan is extremely debatable.

Mother mercer I swear you are just looking for a fight. Take it out on the club, not me.

I'm not asking for a fight all I'm saying is that you shouldn't start putting the boots into Bell.

Hogan is a quality player who is a list priority. Hogan has managed to rehab very well this season with regards to his navicular injury.

You can't honestly expect Bell to foresee this four months later?

This is an open forum and if I disagree with you then tough

Given the **** posted in this thread I feel really comfortable with assigning Bell his fair share of blame for allowing this risk. If it turns out he was against it I will change my mind.

ALSO ITS THE ****ING MELT THREAD. IF I WANT TO GET STUCK INTO BELL I ****ING WILL GET STUCK INTO BELL.

How is this not Rosich and Bell's fault, they were literally the list managers that chose to bring him in?

The results of this trade arent final, there is clearly a lot of water to go under the bridge, but... they clearly knew the issues Hogan had and they chose to take the risk (with the discount it came with) regardless. When you're in charge the buck stops with you, the success AND the failings.

If Hogan comes good then its all water under the bridge. As it stands, the two have a lot to answer for.

I'm not willing to say Hogan is a terrible mistake yet. When you're a shit club you have less chances and mistakes seem bigger.

Bell will earn his cash when he starts making the systemic changes to our off field personnel and culture.

At least your bubble has been burst before we get too far into the season. Most teams think they're going to be premiers at this stage of the season, only for all but a few to get reality checks by mid-way if not sooner. At least we've been put out of our misery early.

Another way to look at it, Hogan wasn't here last year, we start the season with him not here this year - nothing ventured nothing gained or something like that ... I don't know, just my vague attempt at melt-lite.

At the time I felt we were being sold a pup by MFC, at least we have time on our side to right the ship. Need to be
honest and get him sorted, but you could say the same thing with Cam McCarthy, And others.
Still as a club at least we havent swept it under the carpet like Cousins.

Then it’s Rosichs fault. He was list manager and CEO.

Was Bond getting any credit for the Weller trade? No, because Lloyd was the list manager and was therefore responsible.

I mean, I'd be pretty certain both were essentially list manager and it was a joint decision. Unless I hear that Rosich specifically over-ruled Bell (and not from 6pr nuffy), I'm blaming both

Why was Rosich not the list manager when that is what the club said? Why was Bell a list manager too, when in fact he was appointed Footy Ops Manager. Not suit your narrative?

You blame who you want, but the list manager is ultimately responsible. The buck stops with him. Ross would’ve been involved in the decision to a certain extent too, but you don’t even mention him.

Before the Hogan news, I was thinking this is the least excited I've ever been for a footy season to start. Worst strength and conditioning team in the sport, coach is finished and half our best 22 isn't available for Round One. McCarthy will be gifted a spot, it took anxiety and two injuries. Post Hogan news and the disappointment and frustration just grows.

Bell is just a manager and Rosich the CEO. All Bell could do is give his opinion but like any other business, no manager is going to overrule the CEO. This decision was made wile Rosich was CEO/list manager so the decision lies with him.

Gee whizz. Some over reactions on here... even for the melt fred. The saddest thing about all of this hasn’t even been melted... and that is that Krumpets obviously has the inside word of the club!!!
