So where's the mind blowing bit?
They were never friends.
Using a military assault rifle at close range I'm not thinking it's that extraordinary.
30-40mm groupings at 100m for first timers using an Austeyr is very common - he was using what, and AR-15 at ranges far closer? And it certainly wasn't his first time using the weapon - and there are multiple eyewitness accounts of what happened.
I know conspiracy theorists love to assume that official accounts are all completely wrong but in this case it doesn't seem that hard a scenario to believe.
Rest In Peace In Peace?Mind=Blown
What person in their right mind would betray a mad mustachioed Russian? Hitler... that's who. RIP in Peace.
Rest In Peace In Peace?
He was shooting from the hip as well.
Never heard of that one. I must have a life or something.
Save your hyperbolism for the conspiracy nuts (anyone disagreeing with you, despite noting their own experience, is "simply waving it away"He was shooting from the hip as well. People in the USA storm crowded areas and shoot it up all the time, and none have gotten near to that ratio of shots fired/time/kills at the Port Arthur cafe.
Statistically, it is extremely improbable. Not impossible, but gee, to simply wave it away as "not hard to believe" is mind blowing .

He was firing an AR15 in a confined space - note there were more people killed/wounded than there were shots fired. Between close range kills (despite what you think, these are weapons designed to kill - easily - and are remarkably accurate) and ricochets/shrapnel this is an entirely plausible scenario. See the Martin Place reports for what can happen when you fire a rifle with high muzzle velocity in a confined space.
Do you really think there has been a cover up here?

You mean a massacre where 9mm pistols were used as well as sawn off shotguns? Now is neither the time or place to go back and forth over it, but I'm no conspiracy nut, and I will accept explanations. I don't accept that it is so easy to kill people that efficiently when the gun nuts in America can't manage it. How many shots were fired at Columbine? There's no proof in the pudding, Byrant's shooting was an anomoly.

That is in no way comparable to using an unmodified military grade semi-automatic rifle, let alone considering how many point-blank range murders Bryant committed.
It's all well and good to consider statistics, but context is always important.
I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of all US massacres - I'd imagine that it's far more difficult to hit targets in a darkened cinema with fixed seating than it is in a light-filled, open cafeteria after spending time assessing the scene first, but I don't have all the answers.Fair rebuttal. What about the ones in the cinema, and then the primary school, where rifles were used?
From what I've read I think both sides were planning on backstabbing the other as soon as it was convenient to do so. More of a "enemy of my enemy" thing than real friendship between the countries. They shared a slice of Poland together though. The future was so bright (for everyone who isn't Poland or any other European country really).

I'm always confused as to why conspiracy theorists believe the facts that are stated that suit their argument and then totally disregard the others.
