I believe a few particles of dust were shaken loose from the top of the goal post which wasn't shook, they lodged themselves in his right eye causing a slight temporary protrusion of the posterior eye lid. But we don't like to lay blame on outside factors

They didn't need Rance or Taylor, they got Tayte Pears in the same draft and already had Gumbleton.
They didn't need McEvoy, they already had Ryder.
They didn't need Cyril, they already had Leroy Jetta.
They didn't need Wood, they already had Houli.
They didn't need Ward, they already had Sam Lonergan.

Yeah, no flag. Because if we had Buddy, we probably wouldn't have been in a position to get Cotchin, and definitely not to get Dusty. No Cotchin, no Dusty = no flag. Getting Buddy would have condemned us to being a mediocre side with a superstar forward, i.e. Richo 2.0. Yes, we would have had the two of them together for a few years, which would have been amazing, but our midfield would have been so weak.
