I supported Freo until the supporters starting acting differently about 2006 onwards. I can understand the hatred but its just a thing and nothing serious, its not like there are punch up but its gone from a healthy rivalry to something a little more aggressive and could get quite bad if Freo don't win a premiership soon.

Respect will only come when this is achieved I think but a lot of the problem is you should of won one by now, some Freo Fans think you have ( delusions of grandeur ) and others are getting a little impatient and over frustrated ( hence the agresison towards Eagles Supporters )...just hang in there, it could be this year. Its only footy remember and the day we end up like soccer is the day I quit following.

Eagles fans often try to point fingers at the other supporters.. But as a young Freo member in late 90s-early 00s Eagles supporters were the reason why just couldn't follow that team, even against Collingwood. The reason it has gone from being a 'healthy rivalry' (was it ever that) to what it is now is not just due to Freo being the 'small poor brother' it is also largely due to Eagles fans being the cockiest and arrogant bunch around. So please do not try to say 'it is only footy' when back in 02-08, you fans were just as worse then what we are perceived to be now. I respect your decision, but please it takes two to tango..
