Melbourne's most infamous bridge is at it again claiming another victim. The Montague Street Bridge has a cult following with a website and Facebook Fan Page named after it.

Should the bridge be heightened or is it all the fault of the idiots who ignore the several indicators before colliding with the bridge?

Drive under it twice a day. Can see how those unfamiliar with it would hit it. The "warnings" are rubber straps. If they didn't hit the truck cabin, but rather a higher part of the body, you might not even notice.

It's easy to say they're idiots but it's clearly a problem it if it happens time and time again.

If the guy driving the truck doesn't know the height of the vehicle and watch out for signs he isn't doing his job

He'll get in a rental and they have a height sticker on the inside of the windscreen so the driver can check

Rentals you can both excuse & understand to a point; But HR & HC drivers - who do it for a living - have zero excuse.
