Yeah apparently he plays a very similar character to his role in Gran Torino.

Looking forward to it.

I was looking forward to this, but the reviews over the last month have been pretty offputting.

Apparently it's the bad style of Eastwood film, where the timing is off, characters one dimensional, and his notorious one-take shoots being noticeable.

Currently averages 58% across all reviews (Metacritic).

Invictus, J. Edgar & American Sniper were all a lot better than I'd been lead to assume.
