This has worked as a lunchtime pick me up. :thumbsu:

And it leads in REALLY well to a new theme I was thinking (we do music themes in here sometimes, but it's fine to post random songs too, we need someone who knows some dance songs :thumbsu::thumbsu:).

Anyway, for those who want to have a go, how about songs with Cat/Cats in them (or bands with cat/cats/pussies etc, as Redman has done!!)

Something to get us started-

That was unintended.

Anyway,

lazy bugger! You should be working your hardest at work and getting on BF on the train!
No wonder my car takes so long in at the mechanics'! Blokes like you are all checking up on BF all day! ;)
Haha... yeah, nah! It's been a long time since I worked in a Dealership's Service Dept. All of the work I do is internal, so no customers are waiting for anything that I have to do. My role has somewhat evolved since getting the job, it was a newly created role at the time which I've managed to take ownership of and make my own. So long as the budget is met, my efficiency and productively levels are sufficient and I don't fcuk up (a lot) then all is sweet. This time of year it's a bit quiet, anyway. So in summary, I work smarter, not harder!;)

How'd you go with that other job application?? It's been a while now- did they give it to someone else?

GREAT choice. Best live band I've seen.

Still probably my favourite Bowie song.
Weird- I tried to 'like' that the other day but couldn't- and again this morning it was frozen... couldn't reply either. :(
Anyway, managed to refresh again just now and it's all good.

What about this for a duet?

That Tina Turner held up OK, didn't she? I haven't seen her perform for about 10 years but she held her age really well!

To cut a long story short... no good! And I didn't get any feedback until I asked! The manager blames HR and HR blames the manager for not getting back to me. Anyway, I kicked up a fuss and I'll be having a meeting with the HR manager in a few weeks. I intend to use it as a forum for which I can raise a whole bunch of other concerns while I'm at it!

Yes- I was showing my son that last night and contrasting it with Jersey Girl- those two would be my favourites from that album.

Do you have any other music of his? (Heart Attack and Vine is excellent, too)
You asked for it.
I LOVE Jersey Girl, just love it. Have been known to have it on repeat play for up to 2 hours at home. Tom Waits' version even exceeds Bruce's, and I am a huge Boss fan too.
Great and underrated movie and soundtrack.
Just a superb album, wore out The CD in my car, and wore out people's tolerance in my car too. I love it, many can't stand his gravelly voice, but no doubt this is one of the greatest albums ever made by a man only 24 yo. IMHO.

Bending the rules here, but it's 2am where I am, am sleepless, and want to share this song. :D (but it does have some relevance. Was voted number 1 in JJJ's hottest 100 three times, including '09, so all good) Just a classic piece of rock music.....
Great bending of the rules, one of my all time favourite songs. Believe it ranked highly in the list of 'greatest ever songs' too.

Something cat-related from the Stones;

I have been singing Jersey Girl all yesterday evening and today ;) Not with the gravelly voice, though that's going on in the back of my head :D

I will put that album on my sound system to play later on when I get home. :) Should help me get through the chores! Thanks Vdubs!
And for you Teri, you sound very down to earth,
Amazing and unheralded song.
And
Lovely! I was surprised to find I only have 1 VM song on my iTunes. Time to rectify that!
but I do have the Springsteen song from his Greatest Hits album- had a couple of his albums on audio tape but never got around to buying them on CD.

Getting back to the premiership years songs, I've got a song that's been annoying me since July 2011.
I think it has either a horn or a trumpet in it.

I first heard in in July that year on ACA on a promo outro and also later that year for the AFL Draft.
Not to mention this year's Apia International.

As I heard it in a Geelong premiership year, do any of you know what this is that I'm recreating?

Cheers.

Pivo do you know which song Redman is talking about above? (that voice recording program has got laughing though, it's great!!)
Saucy, this one is for you.

Thanks. I waited until the end to see if the guy was going to take it all off. :D:cool:

Here's 1 that I really should get bonus points for, as the song AND band are cat related (oh, and I don't know why, but I imagine James1970 to look like the drummer from this video-am I waaaaaay off James?!!)-
