I like Washington and the Bulls to go over 200.5 tomorrow. Bulls only put up under 100 twice this season and in games where they went in as warm favourites, lets say more than a -5 spread, they've averaged 111 pts per game. Washington have had a few days off and should be fresh as well as have some momentum as they defeated Houston and with their offence starting to get rolling I think we could be in for a high scoring one tomorrow.

Chicago vs. Washington - Over 200.5 @ 1.90 - 1.5 units no
Cleveland vs. Indiana - Under 202.5 @ 1.90 - 1.5 units 2.85 unit return
Miami vs. Toronto - Over 200.5 @ 1.90 - 1.5 unit 2,85 unit return
Utah vs. Charlotte - Under 188 @ 1.90 - 1 unit no
Boston vs. Memphis - Over 195.5 @ 1.90 - 1 unit 1.9 unit return
New Orleans WIN into Cavs @ 2.71 - 1 unit no
New Orleans WIN into Cavs WIN into Miluakee -7.5 @ 5.71 - 0.8 units no
Chicago -11 into Hornets -11 into Cleveland -2 into Charlotte h2h into Toronto/Miami over 200.5 into Cleveland/Indiana under 202.5 into Chicago/Washington Over 201.5 @ 94.62 - 0.3 unit (haha) no

YTD Outlay: 50.7 units
YTD Bets: 38/18/20
YTD Return: 52.6 +1.9 units
If Cavs won (they got no where near I know) would've been a good day instead I had a small loss on the day.

The Boston ones.
Shit that got too close at the end!

Superline/Double pays out again though.

14/11/2010 10:34:26 AM Washington @ Chicago - Super Line & Total Double 4: (Straight) Chicago -5.5 & Under 206.5 @ 1.91

That's 2/2 since changing to this form of betting.

I've found my muse.

Bucks looked like they would smash the line earlier on but now only lead by 5 (it was 3). Only 50 secs left so hopefully GSW miss and some FT can help the Bucks cover the line. Woeful last quarter by them though, only 11 pts.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiit Bucks win by 7 and I lost that by .5.

At least Boston are looking the goods so still a good day but would have been a clean sweep had Bucks won by 1 more point.

Shocking day... 7 of 18 correct with 1 push. Missing the Utah line by 0.5 hurt when I could have got Utah to win for the same odds if I put the bet on this morning. If you backed the dogs today with the points start you would have had a good day, might look into that tomorrow.

Today's bets:

  • $20 on Utah over Charlotte by -2 @ $1.90 = $0 (Utah only wins by 1!)
  • $20 on Orlando over New Jersey @ $1.35 = $27 (Glad I changed my mind at the last moment and didn't go with the -7 line)
  • $20 on Cleveland over Indiana @ $1.90 = $0 (Cavs lose by 14!)
  • $20 on Boston over Memphis by -3 @ $1.90 = $38 (Glad the Celtics jumped ahead a bit in overtime to cover the line)
Now 5/7 on the season, and ahead $90.

$20 each time probably seems like a small, insignificant bet, but I'm only putting on the line what I can afford to lose, and as much for fun as anything else.

woahh.. like twolves tommorow at Atlanta -11.. this Atlanta team purely goes through too many fadeout stages.. and Minnesota are gaining confidence slowly each game... i think K love/Beasley can keep it close here.. maybe a 6-8 point loss...

think i love detroit as well +5 vs Kings who are getting capped too high at home.... Pistons have a great bench production at moment with Gordon/Villanueva able to score quick..

"New York's offense has struggled against Houston as well. The Rockets have won 10 of 11 against the Knicks and swept last season's two games. They have held New York to 92.5 points per game over those 11 contests." think ill back the rockets +3 and the under 216 here... banking on Houstons new found defence and this nice stat from above..

PLAYS

2 UNITS Detroit +5
1 UNit Detroit ML $2.65
1 Unit Minnesota +11
2 Units Houston +3
1 Unit Houston/nyork under 216

Small loss for the day. Wizards Bulls disappointing, especially after showing what they were capable of in the last qtr. Nearly dropped the Grizzlies at +10.5 after going to OT!

Was thinking of getting on Indi but their b2b stats are terrible.

I actually like Memphis today. 2 days off and at home. They close out the 3's pretty well and I think they can get it done today.

BTW found a pretty decent new source. The NBA site. Each team has a "notes" pdf.

E.G
http://www.nba.com/grizzlies/news/notes.pdf

So bets are now

I'm putting 1-10 for both Charlotte and Utah, think it will be close and am wary of that total. 1 unit each @ 2.75 and 2.85
1 unit on Memphis 1-10 @ 3.10
2 units on Orl / NOH @ 2.07
1 unit on Spurs 1-10 @ 2.70 cant see Philly winning and I like the Philly line - this pays 80c more and gives an extra point)
Well fortunately I stuffed up and didn't press finalize bet on the spurs one :)
So ended up up nearly 2 units, will check more when on a pc.

Nice start. Don't stress on the investment - I don't think many here care who is bigger than the next. Most of us are losers in the end... and you're $90 up... keep it going

Been doing a bit more research tonight. So far this year there have been 137 games played with 89 of those games decided by 1-10 points (65%).

From what I can see $2.60 seems to be the absolute minimum that a 1-10 bet pays.
65% is approx 1.50 so if you bet on both teams @ 0.5 units each you would have 1 unit @ 1.30 as a bare minimum. This of course doesn't account for upsets as Toronto beating the Magic which was $7.75 (3.87 on 1 game from 0.5 units) which gives you a lot of free bets to make up for the losses.

I am starting to think 0.5 units on each team could be profitable long term. I will start tomorrow by putting $1 on each team 1-10 so that I am not throwing away too much money if my theory goes tits up.

If anyone has a site which has the winning margins for all games it would be much appreciated.

:thumbsu::thumbsu: Betting within your limits. :thumbsu::thumbsu: Keep that up!

Thats why we all talk in units here so it doesn't become a pissing contest 1 unit = your regular bet. It is $20 for you and $10 for me but really it doesn't matter as everyone has different levels they can afford.

Finally home to calculate today's bets:

2 units- NO into Orlando @ 2.05 WIN 4.11 units
1 unit- Cleveland @ 1.80 LOSS
2 units- Washington/Chicago OVER 194.5 into Chicago -3.5 @ 1.89 WIN 3.79 units
1 unit- Chicago -3.5 into NO -4 @ 2.51 WIN 2.51 units

Today invest: 6 units
Today received: 10.41 units
Today total: +4.41 units
YTD: (14.87) units

Might take a while, but slowly working myself back to the green after being down as much as 24 units.

Speaking of all the 1-10 margins, I've actually been doing a lot of multibets lately with teams +10.5 and have been doing really well (i made back all the money i lost in the first couple of weeks!). Obviously the odds aren't great for some teams but when you combine 3 of them with your pick of the day H2H you can get it up to around $2.00-$3.00. The trick is to avoid the flighty, unpredictable teams, always choose teams that you know are going to bring it or pick either team in an important showdown. To lose by more than 10 you really have to be totally outplayed or go into it with no energy whatsoever. Tomorrow is actually a really bad example because it's filled with lopsided matches and flighty teams, but as an example I'd go San Antonio +10.5 (when the odds go up), Houston +10.5, Detroit +10.5, and then throw in Lakers H2H, and it should pay around $2.30.

It sounds like a risk (4 way multi) for low reward but I've actually got 8/9 since doing this and on many occasions most of the teams I gave the 10.5 start even won.

Not a bad betting option for a sport that can come up with such inconsistent results.

This might kill it but the last 5 games that Utah has played they have been behind at half time and ended up winning. The last two games I've put some money on them at $6 to do it on Sportingbet. I'm gonna keep going as long as they do.
