For some reason, tonight I chose to watch Paul Pierce's Number #34 retirement ceremony in full for the first time, saw video clips of various fans and NBA legends congratulating The Truth, it really was a kick to the punch.

Can't explain why, but still the loss of Kobe (and Gia) still hurts, especially as a Celtics fan. Mind you I still haven't truly gotten Reggie Lewis' passing either.

No more Morey. What a horrendous owner we have, honestly think we'll end up the Knicks, hopefully covid makes the piece of sh*t go broke so he sells. China might like us again now.

Dork Elvis has left the building.

The Confucius Institute might ask to rent his former office.

The timeline of that whose name i will not speak is scary in its incompetence. Might seem over the top given we have gone to at least the second round the whole time he has owned but anyway:

Rockets building nicely as Les lets Morey build a roster to compete with a all time GSW side.

campaigner takes over.

Rockets have best record in league with roster he inherited. Go one game (some say a cp3 hammy) from the Finals.

Rockets are forced to lose key pieces, the main one being Ariza because he already doesn't want to pay the tax. This is his first full season and with a side that nearly won the title...

Over the next few years trades down that weaken the team for the only obvious reason of saving further tax.

He overrides his GM to not re-sign MDA and also forces the team to trade CP3 for Westbrook against the wishes of GM and coach.

He removes Pringle's main assistant coaches.

He lets MDA and Morey walk.

All in three short years.

Rondo would be the biggest loss he's the one you'd want to keep.
Agree. Rondo is a perfect piece for the Lakers - complements LeBron perfectly. I also think LeBron might need to start playing off ball a little more as he keeps ageing and Rondo becomes more important then.

An interesting stat I read the other day. Given the perception that the lakers are not a good 3pt shooting team - they actually broke GSW's record for the most 3pt shots made in the finals.

Lakers are a fascinating team. They are huge which is against all current trends in the NBA. It will be interesting to see what they do over the offseason. They still have some assets to play with - Kuzma being the most valuable. Would they deal him for something?

Give him ownership stake, buy him a private jet or a yacht and call it Moreyball, tell him in 5 years he can go and work for one of the Euro soccer teams in their portfolio ala Billy Beane, ala Ted Lasso.

Whatever it takes, cause this is such a no-brainer.

The preferential treatment that Kawhi Leonard received from the Los Angeles Clippers last season "ruffled the feathers of some teammates," sources told Jovan Buha and Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

Patrick Beverley, Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams reportedly "bristled" when Leonard was allowed to take games off. Leonard played in 57 games last season.

Leonard, who lived in San Diego last year, was also "often" late for team flights.

In addition, Leonard was allowed to control when he was pulled from games.

The team hired Ty Lue to replace Doc Rivers as head coach on Thursday.

The Clippers plan on having Leonard and Paul George on the roster "for multiple years."

What do we think Jerami Grant gets signed for this free agency period?
Since the last salary cap boost its been bloody hard to guess what non-max guys will get. I reckon he would be expecting minimum $60m over 4 years. Dewayne Dedmon got $40m over 3 years after his solid 2018-2019 season with us, Grant is younger and a little different but a little more upside so should get a little more.

However due to weakness of FA class someone will over-over pay for him, and there is a chance it will be the Hawks

So basically Kawhi is a bit of a campaigner.
