Bucks must buy into his Massive Potential

Given their positional need (and Monroe not fitting), center was what they were missing. Poeltl was gone so Maker was as it turns out their guy.

In the NBA draft the high % selections are those more experienced college b-ball players and international players, with Freshman (coming off first year of college) those lowest % choices consistently as the least ready to play being the youngest but also the least equipt to handle the rigors of NBA play, outside of those genuine stars and select few others.

Maker having not even played college is a huge risk, basically not playing any basketball this year. Too young, too physical immature. Poor wingspan. I don't like the choice and can see him as a bottom of rotation player who won't find his way into meaningful minutes.

Knightmare any background info on Kay Felder? Interesting choice given Kyrie, Mo and possibly Delly returning.

Felder is a good senior point guard and good choice in the 50s. When you get that late in the draft it's about finding a late in rotation/capable depth guy mostly which likely is what he will be.

Small at 5'10 but can make buckets, shoot and distribute. Very much a ball dominant point guard who finds the ball in his hands more than not, but has the handle, explosiveness and game to allow him to do it. Able defender.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him catch on, be it with the Cavs or elsewhere as something like an Aaron Brooks type.

 Just saw Ibaka was traded to Orlando for Oladipo, Ilyasova and Sabonis.

Pretty crazy trade. Risky as it's in my view a step back in the immediate, trading rather than gaining the best piece from the deal.

Sabonis I like a lot through the draft but the Ibaka trade is what made me hesitate in calling them one of the winners of draft day.

*Though the Bulls although I love the Valantine selection have to call the Bulls one of the losers on the back of the Rose trade the day prior.

Sabonis is an excellent scorer and rebounder and is on the improve but his defence and range on his jump shot are not ideal.

Ilyasova is a good piece as a 3pt shooter but no replacement for Ibaka on quality.

Oladipo has to be the piece who equals or exceeds the quality of play of Ibaka, and that will be what the Thunder are betting on.

OKC went for an Ibaka for Butler trade (of some variation), so it is clear OKC wanted a high level defensive 2 guard to compliment Westbrook and Durant. Oladipo I like as a fit as a high level defender (who can be something like a Tony Allen with slightly better scoring ability) and doesn't require a whole lot of touches on offense. Oladipo is an upgrade on Roberson, so that's a positive.

What will determine OKC's season (other than Durant staying) will be their frontline - Steven Adams, Enes Kanter, Mitch McGary, Domantas Sabonis and Ersan Ilysaova - there are some good pieces but the question of whether they will gel and compliment KD and Westbrook and offer enough rim defence will be the questions. I also look at the development of Cameron Payne at the point as key if he can become a high level backup.

If there was one team I didn't want him to go to ot was that team.

KEVIN DURANT JUST SIGNED WITH THE WARRIORS!!!:eek::eek:

I just went to put a bet on them for the title next year but they are already 1.56 for the title, what a joke.

GSW be un-backable Favourites next year.

They could win more then 73 Games next year

They were already 1.56 when I went to bet on it last night...

If you wanted to bet on them. You would of had to.do it Before the KD Signing

Well he took the easy way out.

Gonna be interesting how they fit Curry, Thompson , Green and Durant into the cap. Will have terrible bench players that's for sure.
Looks like Bogut is one of the casualties of the Durant trade. Gone to the Mavericks along with Barnes.

Shows how Little Warriors Needed Bogut

Only decent rim protector they had. It's all good having these great shooters but you do need to play defense too.

I went a looked 1 minute after the first post I saw on it, it popped up in front of my eyes the first news of it on facebook but already the price was in. The bookies know everything first.

They have sources very close to thing like that. So they would of had a Good Idea awhile before the Newsbreakers do

They aren't stupid, bookies never go broke because they never lose.

Very True. And Having Ton of Sources would help too so they can maybe get the News 1st before it breaks
