Beverley is definitely the starter. It would take a star to dislodge him.

Williams off the bench I like.

Otherwise that backcourt is looking unsightly. Particularly with JJ gone. There just isn't the 3 point shooting or pieces to complement Griffin and Jordan.

Rated higher than Kyrie Irving huh.... That's interesting :p

The best part about him is his ridiculously low contract.... 5 million a year. Less than Milos.

Gallinari is a capable 3pt shooter. Hasn't since his rookie season shot even 39% from 3 though and is only good for 2.1 makes per 36min.

That's some floor spacing, but not enough in today's NBA.

An example of a fit would be a Klay Thompson or Devin Booker. If one of them could slot in alongside a Gallinari and Beverley. That would feel like the right balance (not that Golden State or Phoenix would give them up). But that's the rough balance I'd be looking at to complement Griffin and Jordan.

Like the look of him, thornwell and young Evans (even though he only got 9 minutes). Lonzo looked average. That shot needs some serious work!

Certainly turned it on today although I question the quality of his direct opponent with Fultz out.
Still... At least his shots were going near the ring so that's a start.

I wouldn't even call what the Sixers were doing as defending. Still he was good. Can't wait to see Simmons playing. Hurry up the main season.

Having watched a great deal of euroleague, Olympics and world champsz the abilities of Teodosic and his leadership will propel him to stardom in the NBA.

Shoots well, incredibly creative with the pass, good size, plays the big moments well and is incredibly competitive. The loose checking style of the NBA will suit him well. Will take some time to adapt but will dominate.

I've actually watched a lot more of him since my early post.

The review of his game on b-ball breakdown (youtube) is terrific.

I should expand on my thoughts from previously now they're more refined.

He could actually start for LAC and probably should given their poor back court.

He's not an ideal starter I'll start out by saying because his defense is poor - guys blow past him very easily even in Europe, so he'll be even easier to get by in the NBA and a liability on defence. With Beverley in that same backcourt through, he will be taking the more athletic guards, beyond doubt.

What Teodosic is special at is passing. Rubio, Rondo, Ball, LeBron. Those guys have special court vision and passing. Teodosic is the same and does all the passing tricks those who have watched Summer league will have seen from Ball. He can make the full court pass, thread the needle. Do anything.

In terms of scoring. He isn't much of a threat driving to the rim, he'll get the occasional floater. But what will make him fine offensively and create enough spacing is his shooting capabilities. Catch and shoot he is terrific and he's also able off the dribble (from three).

He's most comparable overall to Rubio and is of similar quality, with the differences being that on defense Teodosic is much worse but as a scorer he's more capable and a much better shooter.

No doubt there are defensive questions. He comes across as laconic and lazy. Does enough to become MVP and win titles, the euroleague is a high quality competition...underrated by most.

I think you'll see an entirely different Teodosic in the NBA...he's a competitive beast and will do what ever is required to win...including defence if there is nobody else to do it. He is a team player and a winner...so if defence is what he needs to improve than that's what he will do. In any case the NBA these days is more about outscoring your opponents than out defending them.

You are correct, he doesn't have a quick turn of speed, but he is quick in the mind and scores regularly in the paint.

I think he's a good replacement for Paul.

Watched it after you mentioned it last night... Some of those passes are ridiculous!!!
What I like most is that he can genuinely shoot which means defenders can't sag off him and allows him more space to pass to cutters (not that he needs it).
As mentioned earlier, I'd be starting both him and Beverley with Milos being the playmaker on offense and switching them on D.

Starting 5 of Jordan, Griffin, Gallinari, Beverley, Teodosic can still finish top 5 in the West.

Rather Bledsoe than Jordan. Cavs don't have to trade him, there is no rush and if they do a straight swap for Jordan they're the dumbest team in history given kyrie is signed up and have complete control over him. It's not like there is gonna be no market for a 25 year old 4 time all star
