Klay does his ACL today. 2 games in a row with 12 months injuries to players. I hate GS but that is so rough.

Reminds me of Collingwood last season

Lake show only gonna have about $26m to fill out the rest of their roster, would have been more but the trade is going through earlier as per woj. They won't be getting a 3rd max.

The best they can hope for is a Brook Lopez level C and a Danny Green level SG/Wing(although he's stated multiple times he wants to stay in Toronto). Then a bunch of vet mins.

Bron/AD/Kuz is a great trio, but can't see them challenging for a title this year, they should def make playoffs though, if they don't the melts will be glorious.

Up coming season will be the most open season since 2015 I think. Bucks, Denver, Lakers, Raptors, Philly, Rockets all a genuine shot at this stage.. will probably be a surprise team as well

I admit I'm a team switcher in NBA, Philly fan at the moment, tend to follow Aussies but as long as the teams we've all seen win it numerous times, the powerhouses like Boston, Lakers, Spurs, Heat, and now Warriors those clubs that have won enough. If teams like the Raptors who haven't been there win I'm happy.

Big soft spot for the Bucks too.

Credit where it's due, LeGM has managed to free up $32m with the Lakers offloading 3 players to the Wizards, and getting AD to waive his $4m trade kicker in return for number 23.

No idea if they're planning to split that up or land one big fish and have the rest of the roster on vet min deals etc.

I guess Space Jam 2 is just a money laundering scheme...

Why?

I personally miss the days teams had a solid core of loyal players and superstar players never went nowhere and became legends of their franchise.
Because this is as close as we could get in the current situation, many teams have two stars now.. no teams have 3. If Kawhi went to Lakers rip nba like the last 5 years

I feel sorry for the Raptors. Very quickly back to Earth. The NBA is getting boring, it's like the battle of the front offices is more important than the battle on court. You just buy your way to success, it's ending up like European soccer.

Yeah I agree, I much rather it be how it was 10 years ago but Kawhi screwing over the lakers is funny enough to make me ok with this move. I was really worried he was gonna make a stupid super team with the lakers

Agree. Just won the NBA Title but with Players Leaving they are no Middle of the Road Team:'(

I love being a Clippers fan.... This team is gritty af.
Pat Bev is my spirit animal!!

Bump!

good opening game happening in LA.
I think Clippers will win it this year. That isnt a reaction to today, thought that ever since Kawhi and PG joined. Very deep team that is great on both ends of the court. Will be super fun to watch. They also have the LeBron/Warriors killer in Kawhi which helps

Wait till we get George into the rotation and even McGruder into the bench rotation.
Still think we're lacking a rim protector. Zubac needs to seriously improve quickly to show he was worth that contract.

Overall though, I'm happy as a pig in shit right now. Especally after a very underwhelming pre-season.

As for my own team, the cavs. Very excited for Garland.. his shooting looks incredible and I think he can be a decent playmaker with his handle. I wanted them to draft him once we fell to pick 5. I'm all out on Sexton though, his playmaking is pure crap... his scoring doesnt make up enough of his deficiencies such as tunnel vision and awful defense. Also with Garland now here I dont see a backcourt of Garland/Sexton working. Hope he proves me wrong, did well post all star break scoring wise but I would be looking to trade for a better fit.
I like Winder in the draft where we got him, shooter that can develop into a rotation player. KP I'm not sold on but has talent, see how he develops over the season. History suggests as a franchise we don't develop these types very well.
Rest of the roster is junk.

Expecting around 20-25 wins and a lot of dumping expiring's for picks like last year.
