What do people say about trying to quantify how our teams go in 2014?

I was thinking a points based system where you get:

• 10 Points if your player makes the All-Australian team
• 10 Points if your player wins the Norm Smith Medal
• 3 Points if your player is in the premiership team
• 20 Points if your player wins the Brownlow. 19 if your player finishes 2nd, 18 for 3rd.... All the way down until 20 players have received points. (If there's a draw for a position, we average out the points. So a 2 way draw for 2nd means, 18.5 points to both players).
• 15 points if your player wins the Coleman Medal. Like the Brownlow, 14 points for 2nd. 13 points for 3rd, until 15 players have received points.
• 10 Points if your player wins their clubs B&F. Again, 9 points for 2nd place, 8 for 3rd...

Then the person with the most points at the end of the season wins.

*I'm very open to changes in the scoring system, so if you have a better idea, please share.

The only problem with that points system is that we didn't know of it when we picked our players. I daresay my team would have been different if the brief was to select as many 2014 AA players etc. as possible.

True, there is no perfect system for things like this.

All I can say is everyone had the same disadvantage and that I hope by including the clubs best and fairest's, defensive players will also score some points.
