Anyone watched the george clooney movie thats like number 2/3 ?

Midnight Sky?

I found it passable and well made but boring. Plenty of worse movies out there but not Netflix's or George Clooney's finest.

Some interesting horror shows from Korea on NF. We finished Kingdom (the zombie middle ages one) last week and have started Sweet Home. Sweet Home is basically a mix of The Walking Dead & Resident Evil if you were stuck in a Korean apartment block. Dodgy special effects but worth a watch. I can't say I ever thought about Korean TV before NF but they make some good stuff.

I find George Clooney (nice guy that he is) extreme boring and his movies uninspiring for the most part.

Wouldn't call him bland per se, but I feel like his movies are the ones that our Mum's would enjoy and i find that in itself something that puts me off watching his work.

Fair point - its like he has chosen to walk the safe path - nothing controversial or if it is its for comedic effect - this means ( to me ) he plays George Clooney in everything he does instead of going outside his persona

Michael Clayton, Up in the Air and The Descendants were all great. He's probably been a bit quiet or lacking the last few years after a very good couple of decades, but he is an unusually charismatic movie star.

His directing has never really come close to hitting the heights of Good Night and Good Luck since, unfortunately, and it seems like The Midnight Sky is another disappointing effort on that front.

The Descendants was such a great and unsuspecting movie.

Very funny - especially the narrator he’s ******* hilarious.

Not sure SLJ knew he was in a comedy show tho.

Oh he knew all right, I think it was even more funny that he performed it fairly seriously/dead pan though, that was the better approach of someone of his stature I reckon.
High Grant stole the show though.

Years ago, I used to hate Hugh Grant, seemed to always play Toff like Tossers, but in recent years he has shed off that image. He was ****ing brilliant in The Gentleman (which is on Netflix, and is an outstanding movie, which I might be biased on as I am a massive fan of Guy Ritchie films)

The narrator is Laurence Fishburne I read in the credits

Hugh Grant is aging like a good red, he was great in A Very English Scandal and Paddington 2.
