so many great passages of play fast clean hands and quick ball movement - then the ball gets to priddis - he stops - kills the momentum - then either hospital handballs it to feet - or to a player than gets crunched or a horrible kick - and theres people in the gameday thread slurping his spunk like its vanilla icecream - ffs

[QSergio"Some Idiot, post: 38460982, member: 76411"]Was crucial in the last quarter, a couple of tough tackles that not many midfielders would have made and set up some critical passages of play including the last goal.[/QUOTE]

Priddis was good today, someone made a great point in the gameday thread that early on we were panicking and reverting to him being the final outlet rather than a link up player. When we settled and figured out he could dish off to Masto or someone else to then pump it in, we started looking clean. Congrats to the guy, hopefully bought himself a week of peaceful silence.

Meh, he was good at points, poor at others and had a turnover which could have potentially cost us the game at the end. Wouldn't call that very good. We had many players today who deserved to be called very good, he wasn't one.
Man up and actually give the bloke some credit. Most of your team was very good and he was definitely one of them.

Give him credit for what? He's an AFL player, he should be playing at an AFL level which is what he did today. He was probably in our top 10, but he made some poor mistakes and left us wide open on the overlap several times because he couldn't keep up with his opponent. These are the same things most of us have been saying for years that are a detriment to his game, they were there today and in my opinion wiped away much of his good work. So yeh, he was good enough to be in the team, but he wasn't very good.

Bunch of players turned the ball over at some point (Yeo and Sheed included). Wasn't top 5 for me but certainly played a good game.

Honestly this thread is kind of moot until we really have at least a few more midfielders who could legitimately replace him - Duggan, Yeo and Sheed are all getting plenty of midfield time and even Nelson featured around the stoppages in his short time on field tonight. Hutchings about the only like-for-life we have, and I'm not convinced our midfield is quite contested enough to function well without at least one player who is more dedicated to contesting the bounces.

That said, I see Simpson doing a lot to reduce our reliance on him in the middle and hopefully by season's end he'll play less of a central role in our team. But right now he does play an important role and he played it well tonight.

I thought priddis helped keep us in it in the second quarter when port got on top along with yeo and the gov.
Hes clearly been told to handball. He wasnt the reason we won and some of his play was momentum killing.
