The Manager knows all about Gervinho seeing it is the former Lille Manager.

The longest that Gervinho has stayed at any club is 2 years.

Is he a hypnotist?

10 Gervinho jokes and not one of them even close to funny.
Give up you blokes it's pathetic.
Waste of my bloody time reading 400 posts of people trying to make funny 'Gervinho is shit jokes'....
Don't mind reading some piss taking but at least make ******* humorous.
Thanks to the bloke who mentioned he was going to Roma though.

Transfer window has been very underwhelming so far as none of the big pieces have really moved.
I mean the big pieces. Rooney, Suarez, Bale and maybe Fabregas all possibly moving but none have yet.... saying that I think the Rooney and Fabregas deals are linked. Fabregas goes to United and it's easier selling the transfer of Rooney to the fans, they will have been neutered.
Suarez and Bale are probably linked as well. If Madrid can't get Bale, they turn to Suarez and I think Liverpool will be less defensive when it comes to selling outside the league.

City have had a good window and got their business down early - and Chelsea haven't bought any big pieces but retaining Lukaku and De Bruyne + Schurrle, a couple of young dudes and Schwarzer - Villa and Liverpool both busy early - some business down and in terms of quantity it has been ok - but as far as English clubs go - no big pieces yet. Gotta happen soon or not at all. For the better of the teams.

personally there's a lot of posturing going about. psg and monaco in particular have flexed their muscle, making some big signings, mostly for marketing purposes, although psg are a bit further along with their team. the silly money has been very rare this window in england, you could make a case for a couple of unproven players, such as fernandinho if the 30 mil figure is true, but all in all it's been a smart window for english teams. lots of midtable strengthening too with the bonus tv money.

all the silly money seems to be outside of england, besides bale if it goes through. don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, but wouldn't be surprised to see a mad rush from a few clubs in the last few weeks of the window, which usually doesn't come off.

Fabregas won't go to United. He's a Barcelona/Arsenal or nothing sort of player.

I don't agree that Madrid will 'turn to Suarez' purely because they can't get Bale. Bale wouldn't be a replacement for Higuain. Suarez would. It's just that spending in excess of 40m twice in a window is unlikely, even for Madrid. They'll keep on pursuing Bale, no matter how long it takes. Similar to Barcelona with Cesc, I reckon. It's not a matter of will they get the player, but when.

Yeah I've heard both. Apparently we couldn't afford his wages to get him permanently
He's been getting £60k a week for the past 18 months to sit on the pine at arsenal. Surely he could take a trim to his exorbitant wages in order to play regular first team football. But that's modern day footballers for you. And the main reason we weren't able to offload him and the likes of bendtner, squillaci etc earlier.

Lol, Rodgers wants a 'Bale-like' fee of £100,000,000 before thinking of selling Suarez.
What's lol about it? If Bale is worth that much and Suarez is better than Bale then isnt it obvious?

But in all seriousness. Bale isnt not worth 100m, it's just Real Madrid being stupid and distorting the market. They are both probably worth around half that much.

What you're saying is stupid and people who say that are idiots.

When the players are probably as good as each other then you can bring trophies into it a la Michael Jordan vs Lebron James.
Whoa when players are as good as eachother. LeBron is nowhere near as good as Jordan.

BBC's David Ornstein: "Speaking to senior sources at Arsenal, I can say the club won't go to £50m for Suárez."http://bbc.in/1ekR4cR

Think that pretty much rules out a transfer to Arsenal. Can't see the owners agreeing to anything less than £50m after taking a hard stance on the issue.

Ornstein: "Suárez is very angry at the people who gave him assurances he could leave if £40m clause was matched." Ornstein on if Suárez doesn't sign for #AFC "The club told me they're working very hard, privately, on other deals. I don't have names."

They won't sell him for less, and believe me we tried.
Saw you guys were also in for him - you reckon they will hold out for 20m? That's crazy money for a championship player. Not sure of what their finances would be like but unless they've culled a lot of their bigger wage earners (unless they are hoping to come back up at the first attempt). I personally can't see anyone forking out 20m for him. 15m maybe at most.

Either way, reckon that rumour hasn't got much in it. CM is probably our strongest and deepest position and we have other areas needing strengthening (up front).
