with the anzhi owner going nuts situation

zhirkov, denisov and kokorin, who signed about 3 weeks ago, probably off to dinamo moscow. lacina traore off to zenit. god knows what else.

eto'o, lass diarra, samba, boussoufa, jucilei, willian. they're not bad names.

taarabt to fulham on loan is now official. taarabt and berbatov seeing who can be greedier should be fun.
boussoufa and Eto'o would be good pickups.

Willian by the far the best name of that list (Eto is in his prime obviously). Started the season brilliantly as well.

Not without consideration.
There are many things that could be seen as consideration.Signing a contract extension could be argued as consideration? An act can constitute consideration.

It gets all very murky when dealing with contractual disputes.

I don't think this will be as cut and dry as people may think.

Ambiguity in contacts is a dangerous game.

Liverpool did absolutely nothing wrong with Reina. He and his agent had been flirting with Barcelona since January, it was getting to the stage that it was highly likely that Valdes was going to leave and Barcelona were going to make an offer for him so we had to bring in a replacement. Circumstances changed and that offer never came but Reina can't then have a sook when we decide to send him elsewhere because we rate Mignolet higher, he's been a great servant of the club and I love him but he doesn't have a leg to stand on there. You can't go off asking your ex to take you back, then when she knocks you back act surprised when your current girlfriend decides to give you the flick.

I think they're doing the right thing with Suarez, we don't want to get into the situation of gaining a reputation where players think they can sign lucrative long term contracts with us and then act like they don't exist. They need to keep their poker face on and sell on their terms, not Suarez's. I've outlined before why I don't think there's any danger of him going on strike this season, if he really wants to play for a club challenging for the CL and league titles and he doesn't get that move this summer then it would be suicidal for him to pull a Tevez because none of those clubs would want to go near him.

Also, can we make it clear that Lloris was signed 3 games into the year and was acclimatising to England through the cups. AVB was waiting, rather foolishly IMO, for Friedel to make a mistake. Friedel doesn't make mistakes, it's hard to do when you stay on your line and have excellent reflexes. Lloris was brought into the team for the Derby after he was being threatened by Blanc and it was all good from there.

Friedel played in the cups.

According to the PFA, there is a clause at the 40 million pound mark, where club and player differ is that Suarez and his management thinks it's a release clause, whereas Liverpool are calling it the minimum amount that must be bid before they'll actively consider it (and are rejecting it out of hand). Sounds like the PFA is trying to make the move, or at least a move, happen before the window closes.

Why is this? What actually happened?

http://au.eurosport.com/football/eu...zhi-after-just-16-days_sto3873106/story.shtml

Anzhi have failed to win any of their first four games of the new Russian season and former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen is set to be sacked after just 16 days in charge.
The club, who are based in the volatile Russian republic of Dagestan, have spent millions on players since being taken over by billionaire Suleiman Kerimov in January 2011.
Samuel Eto'o, Lassana Diarra, Aleksandr Kokorin, Igor Denisov, Willian and Christopher Samba are among the superstar players who have been brought in for big money.
However, according to Sports Express in Russia, Kerimov experienced health problems after the club's embarrassing 1-0 home defeat to Rostov on Friday and has decided to pull the plug.
