Why cause I dont want a player who isn't better than what we already have. Would prefer Flamini on a free, who will do the exact same role to a similar standard. Preferably would take on someone in the age bracket of 20-24 who is about to become a very good player, someone like Ander Herrera.
Training with Arsenal, getting fit. Some guy on twitter ran into him at the Emirates the other day which Flamini told him he wanted to join permanently.

Im still not convinced we need to splash 30 million on Willian. If we have that kind of money sitting around, surely we could spend 18 of it on Papadopolous and actually address one of our weaknesses.

Story from James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo is that we aren't 100% satisfied that Papadopoulos has completely recovered from his injury and we want to see him get back to full match fitness in the first half of the season before committing to him, if he can do that then Pearce thinks we'll make an offer for him in January. In the meantime I'm assuming that means Skrtel will stay. However, if Skrtel wants out then we may have to bid for Sakho as an immediate replacement. I'd be happy with either to be honest.
In other news, Aly Cissokho will be confirmed as a Liverpool player on the website tomorrow after completing his medical and signing a contract earlier today.
Gotta play mind games with similar league competition.
Also do people not understand the point of low bids? Obviously clubs don't expect to get a bargain but more to cause unrest with the player. If the player is interested in a move then the official bid will get them thinking and talking to their club and manager which is more likely to force a move. Then by the time they go for a larger, second bid the transfer has a higher chance of happening.

Low bids are like people going through the denial stage of the 5 stages of grief, you know it's not gonna do the job but you're bidding hoping that it will, until you get to the depression and acceptance stage and just shell out the cash
Or unless you're Wenger, you're forever stuck in an infinite loop of the denial and bargaining stage
