Is moore a knee jerk reaction to last yr.. or are we actually building a backline around him.. if he's there as a band-aid.. that's simply not how you go about winning premierships.. you simply don't cut corners. I don't understand how pro pro coaches dont friggen understand this.
Buckley could’ve at least trailed Moore down back when the season was over last year. We need to win games from round 1. Huge ask.

FB Dunn. 2nd best one on one defender in the league 2017

CHB Moore. Played majority of TAC and VFL at CHB and was one of the best in r23 as a CHB.

CHF Reid. Played 15 games last year and every game in the last 7 weeks. Dropped for poor performance as a CHB.

FF Cox. Avg 1.4 goals a game in just 20 games of AFL which include pinch hitting in the ruck. Franklin avg 1.1 goals a game in 20 games as a KPF. Head hunted by Brisbane in the off season.
So you think Dunn should’ve been All Australian?
If Reid misses 7 games in 2018 we will lose them all
Cox is just a spud.

Simplistic assertion here - esp Hafey and Matthews

PS you forgot John Cahill
Good get on cahill
Not that simple
Mathews was learning on the job , like malthouse no internal discipline shown
Result culture out the window
Tunnell nightclub
Bus high jack
Drink driving
Sexual piccadillos
No discipline with us ,but he worked it out at Brisbane
Cahill had man management skills strong leadership with Williams , discipline
Phil carmen was treated with kid clothes and it destroyed his Carear , no discipline

Ridiculous
6 goals , 40 hitouts and 24 marks says otherwise

He apogises he's not kicking 7 every week straight of a plane

He appreciates your understanding and paitence though. Lol

Hafey and Malthouse inherited wooden spoon teams coached by "Cwood insiders" - to say that "outsider coaches" have created problems that need "insiders" to fix is simplistic - blanket claiming that Hafey and Matthews had "no discipline" is a bit much

Isn't it strange that these two petulant children resulting in an unchecked and dangerous club culture gave us 2 flags.

Discipline schmisipline; IMHO couldn't give a flying f***. It's all about flags friend - don't care how we get them so long as it's within the rules and we win them on merit.

Flags matter (or at least contending for) regardless of discipline or culture.

You took a stance when you suggested he didn't have enough evidence, sorry but you can't back out of it Spin. Gimpy has a link and you've offered nothing to disprove that theory. My opinion it could be right or wrong I don't really care I'm just reminding you if you want to shut a theory down you have to actually provide evidence against it instead of being a condescending twat about it.
Gimp has not supplied me a link.
How can I shutdown a theory that has no basis in fact? When the theory is backed up by facts I can scrutinise it and assess it. Until then I simply ask for evidence to support it, which is what I have done in this case.

Not sure why your are being deliberately obtuse here - I think you are arguing for the sake of arguing.

Seems a coincidence that clubs who party. Hard win 1 and then fall of the cliff, culture is developed through great leaders

Suggest you read "the captains pick" might explain our current predicament and the loss of opportunity

Bury your head in the sand if you like

But if 1 flag every 20 years suits and makes you happy , I'm glad

I want sustained success and that comes from culture
Richmond changed theirs and it payed off will they sustain it?
That's what a great club does ,

There are many reasons we didn't go back to back, suggesting that the behaviour is the defining the factor is drawing a very very long bow. Especially when the club replaced the coach against the will of some of the playing group. Failure from that point is obvious, players aren't robots and build bonds with their team mates, coaches and clubs to disrupt that is to invite failure.

The 2 flags we got you could argue we wouldn't have got without MM and Mathews, I'd argue you have a very narrow view that won't be changed and are clutching at straws to back your perception more so than me having my head stuck in the sand. If you look at my posts and replies I'd argue I look at our predicament from all angles.

If Richmond sustain their success I can guarantee you it won't solely be the result of "good culture" - that is only a very small part in a very large equation. Open your eyes darky!

As a lead up forward he got out into space and more one on ones. Under Buckley when he played more FF he'd get the the ball kicked over his regularly and the double teaming opponent would ram into his back.
As I see it, the transition to stay at home forward was forced due to 1. rumoured knee tendonistis issues and reduced mobility, and 2. the lack of viable support KPF partners.

Be interesting at some time in the future to hear what Clokey has to say about his time at the Pies and the ebbs and flows of his career.

Excuses why Buckley is still coaching:

1. Robbos announcement on foxfooty of Collingwood drug issue resulted in 80 point loss derailing the season after round 1
2. Injuries
3. Premiership players passed their prime and retired
4. Culture
5. Administration
6. Assistant coaches were shit
7. Gary Pert
8. Neil Balme
9. Still learning on the job
10. MM
11. Assistant coaches not as compitent as the great man.
12. Players poor kicking skills
13. Recruitment Hyne and Company
14. Players love Bucks
15. Buckley loves Collingwood
16. Bucks has a terrific rapport with players

Anything else I've left out.. feel free to add to this impressive list.
17. Planted some seedlings this week, birds had a feast - I blame Buckley.

I'm more concerned about the criteria boxes for employing a senior coach.. were they all ticked.. doubt it

18. Buckley is great with the media
19. Buckley's out of space game plan is sound.. the players are not good enough to execute it BC they're not from a galaxy far far away.
