Lol I dunno if it would scare them away, they would prob look at it, their little heads cocked to the side in a quizzical nature, thinking wtf is this

then eat the seed
They'll probably peck at it.. oblivious to the fact that it's a one million dollar document re.. the holy grail re.. animals are funny creature's I reckon.

or maybe they will get the gist of the plan, and start short passing the seed, tossing the seed to another bird 20cm away and it works, its just them frolicking amongst themselves , no pressure, bit like a training run

but all of a sudden a bigger better bird enters the fray, and all of the sudden, under pressure, the 20 cm seed toss misses the mark by 30 cm, so then they try the short beak to beak pass but the recipient is swamped immediately by 3-4 of the bigger and better birds and loses the seed

All of a sudden it's just a huge mess and so they fly off thinking what a shit plan that was

Isn't it strange that these two petulant children resulting in an unchecked and dangerous club culture gave us 2 flags.

Discipline schmisipline; IMHO couldn't give a flying f***. It's all about flags friend - don't care how we get them so long as it's within the rules and we win them on merit.

Flags matter (or at least contending for) regardless of discipline or culture.
Both of them had a huge advantage that current coaches/clubs DO NOT.
Public scrutiny in all its forms was far less than today - so players got away with alot more - which is something Swanny has also said repeatedly.

So you cannot get away with slack discipline of the past, in todays version of the AFL.

Both would take a far stricter view on discipline today if they were coaching.

The problem with trying to create a masterpiece.. if you're a lil bit off the mark.. the whole thing tends to turn to absolute shit.

Keep it simple Bucks!

There are many reasons we didn't go back to back, suggesting that the behaviour is the defining the factor is drawing a very very long bow. Especially when the club replaced the coach against the will of some of the playing group. Failure from that point is obvious, players aren't robots and build bonds with their team mates, coaches and clubs to disrupt that is to invite failure.

The 2 flags we got you could argue we wouldn't have got without MM and Mathews, I'd argue you have a very narrow view that won't be changed and are clutching at straws to back your perception more so than me having my head stuck in the sand. If you look at my posts and replies I'd argue I look at our predicament from all angles.

If Richmond sustain their success I can guarantee you it won't solely be the result of "good culture" - that is only a very small part in a very large equation. Open your eyes darky!
Do you think if mm had have accepted his agreed job and nurtured the club we would have performed better

Hardly surprising given he had some combo of players like Brown, Rocca, and Dawes also playing F50 under MM. It was more a solo effort under Bucks. Well other than Jessie White.
Not sure how much control Bucks over recruiting so I won't blame him for it but we should have made a better effort to a recruit a partner for saclike and players that can hit him.

Surely Buckley must specify the type of player he wants and the recruiters find the best of that type - makes no sense for the recruiters to get the players that appeal to them and then say to Nathan - "look what we found - go make your game plan" -

Edit - or do we find the best players and then build the game plan? - inform me please guru posters

I'd like to think we recruit players to suit Buckley.

Shame on Mother Teresa for having no place in her heart for pendants - those who bring clarity and precision - God does this place need those qualities :)

I have decided what we need is an undead version of me. At least one you can crochet. I think crochet beats crotchety any day.

After all, crochet features heavily in the little known but important football relevant work by Sun Tzu

Art of War II - Crafts of War.

And we need a bit of Sun Tzu to get through the year.

Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness

Be mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness

And only use pure wool yarn.

What, you thought I was talking about football? Shit you gullible bunch of knobjockeys...
