Would that of existed had he not had the elephant in the room? Or the added pressure of it in his mind?
We were trailling by just seven points at 3/4 time in the Grand Final to the one team that was better than us. There was no elephant.

In 2012 injuries to key players meant the list was only capable of a Preliminary Final.

He must postal for gay marriage

Great gimp and his many conquests

Loves his all rounder gorillas
I'm not gay.. my hairdresser Serge is though. He inspired me to color my brows to highlight my eyes.. and taught me the fine art of beared manicuration. I owe him my vote for making me look like a Hollywood superstar.

Bourgeois initially ment "those residing within the borough", much as we use the term urbanite. As more of the middle class moved into cities it was associated with the middle class and hedonism. Contemporary usage it's the upper and upper middle classes (finance and capital) while the lower middle class (managers, professionals etc) are the petit bourgeois.

So gimpy your definition is closer to contemporary usage than your getting credit for.
I know it is.. didn't wanna show off about it though. Hot shots like me understand how to keep commoners happy.. keeping em happy is the secret to keeping em down.. that's why I threw hundreds of Collingwood badges from my Corporate Woodsman Box out into the commoner crowd.. was smiling when doing it.. but deep down found it rather amusing watching em dive over seats to get em.

Agree on the first bit, but with out j mac passing we would have made the granny, but never have beaten the hawks though, they had our measure.

Doesn't bourgeois mean middle class? Ed of course is a member of the Ruling class.
Yet they've completely derailed their performances this year. Premiers to 10th and apparently Beveridge is a genius, go figure.
yet you would take their season last year in a heartbeat, they will rebound

I'm hesitant to buy in to this discussion, however a MM lead Collingwood could well have been hosting that final in Melbourne on the back of a two week break for all we know.

The whole hand over has created far too many sliding doors moments to speculate on which is why it irritates me every time it's mentioned. Overall it's so damn Collingwood to be talking about something that happened 8 years ago rather than focusing on the here and now!
The here and now is uneventful presently.

Like having a FD clean out only we didn't do it.. just ole bill has been boned and everyone else has been retained. Burns was poached not boned so in essence again we have been lied to as members. There will be no clean out like Richmond did, the review was a farce and we continue on the mediocrity train... Choo, Chooooo. Fantastic.
I think the FD clean out was more an assumption by us and the media than something that the club was outwardly projecting. Club says they are having a review, everyone just assumed it's a Richmond style overhaul.

If only we could play it back with Malthouse being recontracted? Anyway. Mediocrity continues for us.

Well it would of been safe to assume considering the FD under achieved and in reality should of been entirely cleaned out. Probably why burns left, same shit different year.

It wouldnt have made a lick of difference. Would Malthouse have stopped Ball Maccaffer and Brown from having season ending injuries and Thomas from suffering an ankle injury hes never fully recovered from? Would it have stopped McCarthy from dying?

Its now 2017. Why are we still bothering to talk about what ifs from seven years ago? The club decided Malghouse was past it (they were right) and they moved on.

What they are doing now (right or wrong) is a totally seperate discussion.

I see it more as the inate desire to give all things AFL related direct comparisons to each other. Collingwood has a review, so it can only be a Richmond 2016 review or a Geelong 2006 review. It's like how there are over 700 players in the AFL, yet there only seems to be about 10 players to compare draftees to.

That's right. I don't live in the past but sometimes you can't help but think jeez what if things had of been done differently. Anyway, agreed. Best to move on
