Photo dump time...

Did a photo walk around the stadium on Sunday.
It was cloudy, so not as nice as pics when it is sunny - but people might be interested anyway.

Starting south of the stadium and walking clockwise.

Why would you pay $1 million when it's projected to optimistically bring only $2.2 to the state.
That only brings $80,000 GST to W.A. which doesn't cover the running cost for one game let alone two games.
They are predicting only 3,000 Sydney-siders making the trip.
There's only deficit in your suggestion.
Yes, I know.

Without googling, who can remember which teams/event opened the redeveloped Adelaide Oval, or Etihad?

It really doesnt matter who opens it, if its ready to use then start accepting bookings, every week it sits idle it's losing money.

For Adelaide Oval, define 'open'.

In terms of the full redevelopment, it was the Port v Crows game in round 2 2014 (after a Rolling Stones concert was postponed). However, the Strikers BBL03 season had the Riverbank Stand open, and the 2013/14 Ashes Series had parts of level 1 of the Eastern stands opened.

I'm almost certain there was a late season shield fixture played there as a dress rehearsal / chance for fans to come in and check it out.

Actually pretty neutral

The whole stadium wasn't fully completed till early March or so, a very tight turnaround from handover until the cancelled concert. There was a shield game where SACA Members could go up onto Riverbank Level 3 for a look but nothing for people to go over to the Eastern Stands or Riverbank 5.

Social media comments were in melt down. I espically liked the ones about how dare the NRL come back to WA after the way they treated the Western Force.
Loved those ones. Dont mind having NRL there before

Wasnt the SA vs England game was it? That might have been the opening the new members stand actually.
