i guess. i wish the power and crows supporters wouldnt argue so much ^^. that being said i hope polec proves why he was a top 5 pick.
It's people like S Rowe on 5aa that stirs the pot, if you listened to what he was saying tonight, you would understand why things end up this way. Talking about the haves and the have nots and how the Crows (haves) propping up Port (have nots) all because we host the first home game at AO. He is like a child in a lolly shop that got told no.

For those that don't believe him to be worth it, what does Polec need to do on field to make trading our first rounder for him worthwhile?
Brownlow, Norm Smith, multiple AA, South Australian version of Megan Gale.

Can suck it!

To trade a first round pick for a 21 year old midfielder I'd say these are the things we should expect.

Next year: Cement a best 21 spot early in the season.
Long term: 150+ games, multiple top 10 B&F finishes.

Pretty well sums it up.
Drafting a first rounder is something that may or may not work, using a first rounder on a player that has been in the system for 3 years is something that needs to work.

Having said that, if Macca19 is talking about prior to us trading for him the answer is nothing at all, the club will decide if he is worth it or not.

I can't see why he couldn't do that in a good close to family and friends environment. Tredders reckons he's been training his guts out since he got back.

Now that compo picks have been awarded do you think Port will still chase the Suns #20 & #27 in exchange for #14? Would allow you to trump the Crows if you really want Polec? Guess it depends on how badly Port wants him?
And if the GC are really into doing the deal!

Suns out of the equation now imo, the gap is too big.

Only team I can think of in this scenario is St Kilda now.

I'd say he'd need to be a clear best 22 player and have some level of consistency. At the moment he's neither. He's highly rated so it's assumed he's a best 22 player but in all honesty Brad Ebert had shown much more at West Coast and we traded him for pick #28 as well as asking West Coast to downgrade their 3rd or 4th rounder.
