Whats the definition of serving at least one day of their new contract?

1) need to play and official (preseason or regular season) game.
2) turn up for physical.
3) turn up for pre-season training.
4) turn up to the social club for a few beers with the supporters.
5) go to a promotional function?
6) is it the day after the contract has been signed?
7) oo all of the above?

Does anyone know?

Just to clarify the issue before everyone gets bogged down on this whole 'one day' thing, the rule as stated in the new CBA is one year, that's a YEAR, not a day.

I quote:

"Changes to player contracts will ensure that no player can be traded unless he has completed at least one year of his contract"

yes the new rule comes in as of the 31st of october this year but trade week is b4 then so they can be shipped after signing to a new contract this season.
