Have we interviewed anyone yet?
No one knows definitively (that I've heard of anyway).

We keep hearing it'll be quick, but there has been no real reports on the club screening candidates either before or after the Sando announcement. The club and all parties involved have kept very tight lips through all of this - makes it even harder to believe that people are able to come on here and apparently be in the know.

.

Its critical we sign our new coach ASAP IMO. We got a list sort out, a draft and trade period. The new coach might want to keep smack. We got the top two jobs in our football department vacant. Have interviewed nobody? What are we waiting for? Can't be waiting for an assistant to finish this weekend.

Actually I am with BACCS on this one. Whether the sacking is justified or not (and I for one believe it was) having a laugh at the irony of the last scene isn't exactly classy...
It wasn't directed at Sando. It was directed at the irony/direction of them ending with that scene. BACCS is just looking for another soap box to stand on.

I missed the end - how/why was it damning?
Most of the coaches talking about the importance of communication etc, how it's THE key basically to coaching..
The older coaches saying most coaches are either good or elite..
The elite ones are the ones that know how to communicate, understand empathy, how to relate, inspire, listen, listen and listen.. and so on..

Gee, that doco made me feel sorry for Sando as he just seems like such a good bloke BUT the way he was so over-joyed at a three goal win vs Collingwood says a lot IMO. I was at that game. Collingwood were pathetic that night. A good side would have won by 10 goals. We smashed them in every statistical category but barely won.

In that short minute or so we got to see, he told the players 3 or 4 times after the game that they just beat a top 4 side..
Not great, not accurate either I guess..

I thought what Mathouse said about showing players that you care is paramount in coaching to be most telling, particularly with the rumours coming out about Sando's relationships with younger players and his lack of communication.

Ross Lyons talks about his communication with his whole list. Its been said that Sando barely acknowledged the bottom half of ours.

Apparently he couldn't believe we only get a list of 25 to choose from when everyone else gets a list of 40 odd

You would have to think we already have interviewed people - yet no one seems to know who or when.

The whole process is just bizarre and unusual for a club looking supposedly on the lookout for a coach. Generally clubs like to make some serious waves within the coaching circles to try and suss out any potential candidates, which in turn makes it extremely hard to keep it all quiet. Not to mention all the conflicting reports coming out about where the process is actually at. All reports coming from the club make it seem as if the process is still yet to officially commence, whilst on the other hand many are expecting it to be announced next week. It hurts my head trying to put it all together.

This board if we screw this up...........
