Choco Williams has runs on the board. He is a premiership coach after all.

Having said that, I'd be surprised if we approached him, and more surprised if he agreed to come. Some rivalries are difficult to put aside.

Jarman not giving up on his rumour and saying his sources were impeccable.

Just can't see how Clarkson recants from his comments

Obviously I've thought Sando wasn't up to it for a long time, but watching that last night, it wasn't just me, he came across as very amateur and out of his depth, right?
I thought the same but knew he had 2 years left on a contract that the club wouldn't break (so I thought, until some big badass Roo got in there)
I also thought our assistants area was shitty but that didn't change the fact Sando alone was looking way out of his depth in many areas..
I had heard him talk before to players and again last night, it sounds strange.. Very unsure, no conviction is probably the wording that best describes it..
Comparing him to other coaches such as Hinkley etc is chalk and cheese..

Really seems like an assistant..

The club are keeping very quiet which may suggest the coach has already been signed and are now going after the assistants which have been requested.

I was simply relaying information that came across radio this morning that people may have missed and may be interested in - which I think is fair enough
For sure..
He said the same last night, still being told it's a strong chance..
Hasn't backed down really apart from pulling that it's a done deal..

Going to be a chicken farm worth of eggs on his face if it doesn't happen..
There already is.. :D

Im going out on a limb here, having picked in the past, all four coaches at some stage of this discussion - Clarko, Horse, Dew and Bass.

I am definitely saying that our next coach will be Dew. With ROK as an Assistant.

DREAM TEAM BUFF I expect a toast thread by you very soon so please get it ready.:p

After the GF it will be put to Clarkson, and when he refuses, it will be offered to Bassett.

Bassett is a little crazed and intense, but Norwood players seem very devoted to him, he was successful, and he reinvented some players careers.
I'm hoping it's Bassett.

I can live with crazed and intense

In fact I think I want intense more than anything

I think there is a very reasonable chance that Clarkson was coming, right up until Jarman shot his mouth off and f****d things right up.

If you think that was a defining moment then we were always in trouble. He was never coaching West Coast either despite the rumours last year.

Can we just stop discussing Clarkson.

So i've heard from a source who has a friend that is close to someone connected that holds a position of importance that has suggested to a confidant........ That it is a RIPPING day in Melbourne for the GF! :thumbsu:

:p
Can confirm

Easily

I apologise for not coming clean and for misleading the supporters and club however considering that at the time the club were two days from a GF it was in the best interest of the team and club that I deflected the story in the manner in which I did. Any other action would have put my self interest before the club.

I have now been at the club for more than a decade, the club has Now won 3 flags in past 7 years and I truly believe the time is right with the club in such great shape and set up for future success for myself to look for another career challenge. From the day I walked into this club it has always been my objective to depart the club at a time when it is in a strong position of strength and there is no doubt that this has been achieved.

Enjoy your premiership and thank you for a wonderful 10 years
