I'm not on any Ratten bandwagon. But, it's hard to argue that he didn't do a worse job than one of the supposed super-coaches in Malthouse. I would expect him to be an upgrade on Sando, and that is the first thing I'm concerned about. How big an upgrade we end up with, who knows.

So of it's not Ratten it's probably an untried coach......there's not much out there, unless it's someone who's coming from left field ?? Other than the current coaches, there isn't much to get excited about.

If it's Ratten, then all the tough talking from the club, about putting together the best football department in the country is just lip service. Ratten was harshly done by at Carlton, but he does not strike me as anything but an assistant coach.

They are comparable in that NO ONE would want either of them associated with our club.

You say except for the "drugs saga" Hird is a good coach. I say that because of the "drugs saga" Hird is a terrible coach and the fact that he is still involved with the Essendon football club and the AFL competition is deplorable.
