Yeah coz this thread was really hitting some great heights before that conversation. 211 pages of people having no idea who the new coach is.

Does it matter, he is tainted goods, shown to be standing alone and not fully behind his club. Keep the tanning beds in Victoria I say, he's brought division more than unity to that club for sure. Adelaide don't need it.

That is true, and I was pissed when we gave him the extension. We can't un-give it though, and have to work with the situation as it is. Trigg is gone now and we've started cleaning up his mess.

I think it would be disingenuous to simply blame it all on Trigg especially when the board are ultimately in charge of the onfield side of the ckub

My father has been a Chair of a Board and he was staggered that Chapman didn't fire Trigg asap. It's just not the way most Boards are run. If you have a CEO omitting details to a Board, they have to go.

They are, and I do hold the board responsible too. That said, there has been a power shift at the AFC.

Regardless, the original claim was not that giving Sando the extension was the balls-up, it was that sacking him without a replacement already lined up was.

If he hadn't got the 2 year extension, I'd still expect the review to have concluded around the same time. The only difference would have been we announce that we weren't offering a new contract and were looking for a coach, rather than we've sacked him and are looking for a new coach.

No creadible leaks have been coming out of any camp, the media is playing pin the tail on the donkey..much the same as has been going on here for 200+ pages.

Unless the chairman is complicit in it, and is more concerned about his position than the integrity of the organisation.

no it wasnt ive been an adelaide member since 1991 and macca has been the icon ive admired and respected

I have my doubts too Hemi. if maccca23 was genuine that it's not intended as a rip-off then he could have and should have used a capital M rather than the lower case m which I chose for individuality. When he first appeared I was reading posts that made me wonder when in buggery did I post that until I eventually looked at the avatar.

If I find it confusing then I'm sure others do as well.
