Bolton did metion the need for a long and varied apprenticeship, would be odds on to join us in some capacity I would say.

Considering we're all ready to believe that Clarko has been leading the media on the last couple of days, Is it alright to question whether Bomber has been doing likewise? I realise there is a 99% chance neither will happen. But would definitely suit CE's claim.

Get the feeling Fagan and Chapman will announce the whole kit 'n kaboodle at once.

Hawthorn all week has talked about the strength of their coaching team, this is where we have failed and IMO are now assembling a team

This announcement won't be all about the head coach

Out of respect to my source and the AFC I am not going to name individuals, except to say that the MAIN 'team' of coaches will come from those remaining in the finals and that supporters WILL be happy.

Barring massive injuries, don't be surprised to see Adelaide firmly entrenched in the top 4. With the right culture and mind set, that was achievable this year. We now have to wait until 2015...but it's going to be exciting!

Does that mean the head coach was not participating in the GF???????????
Yeah, that's how I read CE78's post. Starting to think it may be Bass in charge.

To be honest Bassett or Dew surrounded by handpicked assistants from other clubs is actually very exciting. For the first time in a long time it appears we will have a new panel with little AFC affiliation aside from the Hound who is his own man.

I was thinking the same. I think Ratten could be named 2IC. The bloke who is normally named coach is not spoke about in the media, eg like Hinkley, Sanderson and etc.

Either one of those two I will be happy with and so will my Sportsbet account.

I couldn't really care less but the only downside I see to Bass is the negativity we'll receive from opposition supporters. I work with a number of them who see it as a Boys club thing, even though that couldn't be further from the truth.

Again, who gives a rats what opposition or media think.

Screw other supporters, we need to do what's best for us

Bassett is NOT part of the so-called boys club. He may have played for Adelaide, but he is well and truly his own man. If he gets the gig, it will be on merit, not because he has mates at the AFC.

We are not here to be liked. We are here to win.

My guess at the moment, going by the odd leak here or there, is that our coaching team may look something like:
Ratten
Harvey
Bolton
O'Keefe
Bassett

With Bassett possibly as head coach, or perhaps head coach is someone else.

I know, and agree. I spent all day arguing that exact point... Admittedly with a one-eyed port supporter who has convinced himself we fired Sando for Goody.
