Phil Walsh is listed as midfield manager on the pafc website, is that correct? If so a director of coaching or Snr coach role would be seen as a direct step up. As he is contracted though, would he only be able to leave for a senior (head) coach role, or any position that is seen as a step up (progression)? As Dew is already senior assistant to Longmire (insert MFC trying to get him for a succession plan and failing) realistically he can only come over for the main job?

Is Bolton currently under contract? I haven't heard it mentioned anywhere? Could he come over in any position if that is the case, e.g. Forwards coach (he mentioned he wanted a long and varied apprenticeship)....... Could we.... Should we.....

Cannot be serious!

Sauce was coming into his own as a ruckman, just look at his final against Mumford and that will tell you all you need to know. He was cherry ripe to have a breakout year.

McKernan on the list for how long and couldn't get it. Jenkins' ruckwork has not improved from his first season with is. Marić and Griffen leave the Crows and immediately blossom into very good ruckman.

Matthew Clarke has not developed a single ruckman in his time as a ruck coach and is the first one that should be shown the door. A very nice bloke but a shit coach!
Yes I am serious, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one

All I'm saying Clark is not the first to go on my list, Bicks and Clarko must go first IMO

If Clark goes then he must be replaced with a Cox or Lade, if we can't then I'm happy to keep

This thread is sad.

It's Clarkson - all hail the messiah!
It's Bolton - all hail the up and coming project, great choice.
It's Bassett - excellent time to build a dynasty with a Crow who can build clubs.
It's Walsh - yeeessss the absolute best for the job ever, lol Port.

Seriously half the people here would eat shit if it had Crows coloured sprinkles.

Head: Walsh
Skills: Dew
Defense: Sumich
Offense: Bolton
Conditioning: Podsiadly

Barely anyone has indicated being happy with Bolton.

Why wouldn't people have been happy with Clarko?

Bassett appeared to be the best of the rest, and no one knew Walsh was in the running.

The thread has changed with fresh information which is pretty normal.

Anyway champion maybe you could contribute something positive for a change, or you could always exit then thread if its that bad

Probably because he is not one of those same 10 names we always see because he is not one who constantly applies for any and all senior job every year when 4 coaches get sacked.

I'd have never put his name in the mix purely because he never has shown any interest. If that has changed, fantastic. Employ him, employ him now. No one had Fagan in any mix either.
I reckon this thread has looked under every possible rock for a head coach...I cant recall him being mentioned too much. Now he's the messiah.

PS Fagan is a curious example for you to use considering he hasn't actually proven himself yet either. We don't know whether he was a successful appointment yet.

Anyway from hearing walsh talk he wont want the job anyway...that'll be a good look. he bleeds teal these days it seems.

This is a huge decision for the club, hopefully they don't get sucked into 'first impressions' too much when considering the fans. We need a coach who can sell himself to both the players - then the fans. Opposed to the one that's easier to sell to the fans from the get go with the standard 'recent premiership success, strong system, etc.'. History of the AFC says its generally the latter.

Still happy to wait this one out and see how it all falls.
another fan who knows more than roo fagan, noble they make me laugh if ya that smart get on the board ill back their knowledge over yours anyday

I guess that's better than wanting them to all FO.

So Dew is going to leave a Snr Asst job with a GF side to become our skills coach

Come on people keep it real

Positivity is often a good thing in life, the transfer of adulation is a bit ridiculous.
Hard nose football decisions have been needed for years but unfortunately our fan base are too quick to bow down to whoever we are told is the messiah, the mediocrity we suffer is our fault.

I'm not yet passing any judgements on the ruling out of Bassett, except to say that, we better have an absolute ******* jet lined up.

And I think I speak for around 90% of supporters when I say that.

If we end up with a dud and Bassett is coaching somewhere in three years to critical acclaim, there won't be enough chicken shit in the southern hemisphere to fire up the number of dump trucks that will be outside West Lakes.

That's because this thread is made up of Norwood fans who have been pushing Bass for years and a list that every Club comes up with, Dew, Tudor, Burns, Suma the only name missing out of that dross is Hinkley because he finally got a job.

The Club said the supporters would be surprised. I wouldn't be surprised by any of the names in the poll above. Walsh would surprise anyone. Walsh is a first class football person. This thread hasn't put up Paul Roos as an option either but I'd like him here.

Its an absolute blast reading the Smears board at the moment. Talk about a meltdown. Those flogs actually think we wanted Haysman as our CEO but he turned us down. Everyone knows he was desperate for the job but the Crows could not employ a CEO who presided over the crisis at PAP where they nearly went bankrupt.
And the funny thing is that Walshy is going to be paid alot more than Kern is paid at the Smears.
Bwa ha ha ha ha - had a quick look. There's more talk and tantrums and tears on the smears board about our new coach than there is on this board. Yeah -Haysman was offered the CEO job but turned it down…LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

See how entertaining the AFC is?
