So it was reported on the news last night that Walsh would be named coach today, was all over twitter for the last 24 hours that he would be named coach today, was talked about endlessly on talkback radio yesterday that he would be named coach today, but apparently Koch is the one that broke protocol?

Nice work :thumbsu:
Can you really not see the difference or are you just being faecitious?

Totally agree. Can you imagine the uproar from Port supporters if the Crows had announced the next Power coach? We'd cop sanctions from the AFL in response to all the whinging.
Imagine Rucci !!!!!!

But watch now how Rucci will gloat about Mein herr Kochie 'announcing' it, and spinning it to say d'head Koch is winning the world PR race.

Long time reader, first time poster.

I'm pretty optimistic if it does turn out that Walsh is the new coach, but I'll wait a couple of years before making any judgements. I wasn't a fan of the Neil Craig appointment but he turned out alright for a few years.

Going beyond the coach though, this has been a major change in philosophy for our club. Gone are the days of 'the boys' looking after each other and settling for mediocre results.

Bar 2012, 4 of the last 5 seasons haven't been good enough. Losing the 2009 Semi Final by less than a kick was supposed to be the beginning of a new era and the same could be said for the 2012 Prelim. I have a feeling it might finally be coming.

Come on, Macca, you're smarter than that. Media hearsay is one thing but when the president of the club the coach is coming from declares it that's obviously something else altogether. A bit silly to lump the two together.

That said, I only saw Kochie's comment in passing, but all I took from it was that we were interviewing him, not that we'd offered the position.

Who cares really (that Koch made the announcement). It just shows how petty Koch really is. Makes him and their Football club look very unprofessional.

I'm sure Ken Hinkley and KT cringe every time Koch opens his mouth, just waiting for something stupid to come out of his mouth. He's obviously taken presidential lessons from Jeff Kennet.

At least the AFC and the AFC board can hold their head high knowing that they've not let anything leak to the media.

Good luck to Phil Walsh (if he is in fact going to be our new coach). Hopefully he can help us become a force in the AFL again. I couldn't care less where he came from as it really makes no difference to his abilities of how successful he will be.

The Cows, still cant even get anything right, pissweak when another club names your new coach.
Mob of losers will never be as strong as the Power will be in the future, because you are the most idiotic, moronic, cretins who ever barracked for a footy side.
Koch is a cretinous leech of a man
