Who will be the next AFL dynasty this century after Brisbane 2001-03, Hawthorn 2008-15, Geelong 2007-11 and Richmond 2017-20?

Carlton are likely IMO
Yeah Carlton are prime to get a couple of flags over a 3 or 4 or 5 year period

Essendon are a chance too. Yes they havent won a final in 20 full seasons but they look like winning finals under Brad Scott.

We'll worry about landing that first flag in almost thirty years for now, but we now go into games expecting to win.

It's been a long time since we've had that sort of confidence!

We have a serious chance of the flag this year, if we don't have to travel interstate in the finals imo.

There was no BigFooty, Facebook, or Twitter/X around when we last won a flag, so when we do hopefully break the drought all non Carlton fans lives are going to be a living hell!:D

I reckon the Bombers are nicely primed for the Brad Scott at the Roos special.

Good enough to be competitive, but not good enough to go all the way imo.

To be honest there doesn't appear to be any team at this point looking a likely Dynasty side.

But then again a Dynasty side can just pop out of nowhere while sides predicted to be a Dynasty side when they win a flag ends up being one hit wonders ( Essendon 2000, Collingwood 2010 and Melbourne 2021).

Looking at the age profiles of some of the teams that are currently doing well I reckon GWS are in a good position. I expect they'll be top 4 next year, if not this year.

Having said that the next dynasty is far more likely to be a Victorian club.
