What a bizarre comparison. Not only has Stringer got about 30 games experience on Hogan, but this season Hogan is averaging more SC and DT points than Stringer anyway. So while it's debatable that Stringer is the better player (I'd consider him more versatile), it's still a stupid comparison considering the experience gap. If you want a fair comparison between the two, let's compare Stringer's first 10 games with Hogan's and we're getting somewhere.
Or maybe we could just compare Boyd and Hogan? A far better comparison considering their age and no. of games played.

In case you missed it: it was a Hawks supporter that raised the comparison, a Melbourne supporter calling the comparison idiotic, and a Bulldogs supporter calling Stringer the better player of the two. Nice try though.Do Melbourne supporters have to make every thread about Hogan?

LOL at Bulldogs supporters calling Stringer in his 38th game better than Hogan after 10.lol at using DT and SC points in a comparison, do you even football? /facepalm

3 votes tonight, his hands in close were brilliant and he chimed in with 3 snags himself. If you cant squeeze Wallis in there you are doing it wrong
But are you forgetting they got to there respective clubs the same year? Hogan has been in an AFL system just as longWhat a bizarre comparison. Wouldn't you be, if you had Jakey Stringer for the next decade?Bulldogs fans are really up and about.
Melbourne 15.13.103 to Bulldogs 9.10.64.Stringer > Hogan
Dogs > Melbourne
Jarryd Roughead's better than Stringer, regardless of how many games he's played. Got it yet?He is better than Hogan regardless of how many games they have played. Got it yet?
I'll respectfully disagree that # of years in the system is more important than # games played. Drafted in the same year, yes, but Hogan was taken as an underage player in the mini-draft while Stringer was taken at 18. No one's denying Stringer's a gun, but comparing him to Hogan after 10 games doesn't make sense for a whole host of reasons and I'll rightfully point that out.But are you forgetting they got to there respective clubs the same year? It's not unlike the way Bulldogs supporters cry foul when Boyd is compared to Hogan.
