well round 3 is over and it seems as though every week we seem to get a bit better, the question is how good can we get within the next two weeks when we will be having possibly the hardest and most important rounds of the season.
Hawthorn and Sydney remain the only teams who are so far undefeated (who would have thought that the 'mighty' Dons would lost so early in the season
) and playing them won't be an easy task.
Whitey's fitness is not 100% and while the club says he will play this week, we have been let down by their effort to keep us positive and give us time span on player's injury. I do believe that they will let Whitey rest this week and even if they won't he will not play a full match which means that Jolly (which has been fantastic) will really have to step up.
On a brighter note Junior and Jono should play this week and Whealan and maybe Simmonds will be available the following match.
I think that while Hawthorn has been playing great footy and although they did beat Carlton there is no reason why we shouldn't get on top of them, that is of course if we play like we did late last year. We know we have the ability physically but do we have it mentally?
Sydney while beeing higher on the ladder won't be as hard seeing as this will be their first MCG match for the season and we don't know how well they will respond to that.
In a word melbourne's two hardest game so far are approaching fast and this i believe will be the turning point of our season. This doesn't necceserly means we have to win but we have to fight and play 4 quarters of good footy in order to have a chance to get to where we should and so desperatly wanna be.
