Err what? I think going 3 and 3 over the next 6 is ok. It's not great, but hitting mid-year at 6 and 6 is an ok platform to launch the back half of the season from.

Premierships are won by teams peaking in the second half to last quarter of the season and into the finals. I think most supporters on here would accept 6 and 6 from 3 and 3 given who we play in this next block.
6-6 is shocking from our draw, we need to make up 2 losses in this block of games, can't see us doing it

we are well behind right now, breaking even in the next block doesn't help anything

If you think that, then it's a sure thing they won't be. You aren't a credible judge of what 'most supporters' want. Most supporters aren't on Bigfooty.

You're like a Freo cockroach. The club could fold completely and you'd still be singing their praises.

It's not shocking given where we are at now. It is poor from the perspective we had six weeks ago. Two completely different situations.

We're behind the ledger now, thankfully there is still three quarters of a season to make up for it.

Yes it is, we are underperforming, our best can beat anyone but we have only seen it for quarters at a time this year

6-6 is behind where we need to be, we would need to go 8-3 to make finals from there (or a very small chance at 7-4 with a high percentage, unlikely with us), good luck with that, can rule out top 4 with 6-6 too

Optimistically I'd say:

Crows, Saints and Port are gettable.
Suns and GWS are if we find our form, they're a little off and we get Jackson back.
Pies belt us no matter what.

Realistically I see only Crows and Port we start favourites and are more 50-50. The others we're pushing it uphill

Pessimistically, 0-6 is a VERY real chance.

I think we win this week, then think we are world beaters again and have a disappointing loss to the aints, and finish this block of games on more losses than wins.

There is a formula to beating Freo, which most of the decent sides know how to implement, and even some of the crap teams.

I think Collingwood could do distressing things to us in a few weeks time. It might not be one for any fans that are kids to watch for fear of long term psychological damage.

Struggling to think of a side we match up less well on, in recent AFL history. The only hope is that they are mentally a bit off on the day and we catch them on the hop.

Getting major 2023 vibes where we had a dreadful start losing to saints, north, adelaide and bulldogs

And then evened the ledger by beating geelong and sydney/melbourne away

I hope

If we go 3-3 then JL will be sacked

This is the problem with dropping early games, 6-6 at round 12 is awful
I think he'll survive (at least for a while longer) at 3-3, as that realistically will mean he's beaten two good teams (and St Kilda who aren't good, but are abanana skin matchup). For me I'd have him gone already, but the only way the club sacks him is if he goes 2-4 or less over the next 6, and even then I lack confidences the club has the ruthless streak to do that.

They aren’t sacking him at 5-7. Our next three games are then “home” games against North, Essendon and Saints. We could be 8-7 and in form, a fit list and in a position to take bigger scalps.

Sacking him mid year only happens if he losses the playing group and we are getting belted every week.

5-7 given our draw is unnacceptable. 2 wins in the next 6 is so mediocre, why should we accept that as fans?

I've said multiple times, I'd have sacked him at the end of last season - how many more chances should he get?

You talk tough but it’s not how the AFL works. No team has sacked a coach mid year and made finals. Once you sack them, the year is shot and probably the following year getting a new game plan bedded down. Look at Cox & Sydney.

We can turn into Carlton 2.0 and sack coaches every two to three season by not accepting failure but it gets you no where.

You´re calling other freo fans Cockroaches, nice work.
Oh, dry your eyes, princess.

When you're done wiping away those tears, maybe go to your local primary school and see if one of the teachers has time to explain to you how to read and understand the written word.

I didn't call anyone a cockroach. I said he was LIKE a cockroach. Cockroaches are famous for their ability to survive a nuclear explosion.

It's a metaphor, genius.

The reason Carlton had to sack those coaches was because they appointed the wrong ones (with the exception of Ratten who was decent). We've done the same thing here, we didn't go through a thorough process, picked the club man and are now paying the price.

If it's clear and obvious the game plan with the current coach is shot, then why waste time with him? We aren't making finals with him as the coach - particularly if we go 2-4 in the next 6, so logically by that stage, giving the new coach more games to sort their gameplan out is the right move.
