49ers did a smart move bringing in Garoppolo, while the Brows stuff up a trade for a worse QB that would have cost an extra pick... our own stupidity made us dodge a bullet imo.

And it only cost the 49ers their own 2nd round pick.
He will be suited up tomorrow and may well get a few downs.
Doesn't look good for Cousins who was keen to join the 49ers next year

Kansas City and Philadelphia appear to be the best two teams going around right now. NE might challenge KC when the weather gets colder but they’d need to tighten up their defence and now they’ve lost Hightower.

They have a good balance, but the way the Lions offense carved them up should set off alarm bells. Especially as the Lions can’t run on anybody, and the Steelers defensive strength was meant to be against the pass.

Their run game didnt carve us up. It was Stafford (who is an above average QB mind you) who was making heaps of plays.

Besides, every time they got to the red zone our D stood up tall which at the end of the day is all that counts. I definitely think we have to be better if we are going to go all the way though, but we have the 6th youngest defence in the league so we will continue to improve.
